I liked High school. It was so much easier to make friends in high school because I spent so much time there.

Now in Uni I only have 12 hrs of class/lectures a week, and I don't really see these people very regularly..... it's hard really to establish a new group.

I hang out mostly with a bunch of different friends/acquantances from high school (I knew a lot of people from different groups in high school, I do get on fine with all of them but most of my main group in highschool has gone to other universities).

I know I can't keep hanging on to high school and I should move on......

This isnt the most concise or coherent post but.... people... can anyone relate?

I can.

Mine is a little different because I skipped a year, so its not like im starting with a bunch of people in the same boat, which would otherwise be fine.

But meh... just the way the cookie crumbles, it'll get there.

Be vocal in class... be the nerd (projected in a non-nerdy way;)) ... it'll be a start to establishing yourself as someone for others to look up to/learn from etc - they're all in the same boat, and groups are usually formed by those that open their mouths and generate rapport early.

You seem to have a lot more extra time on your hands then what you had before. There are usually clubs that have a specific theme to them. Find one that was both males and females that fits one of your interest and join it.

You might want to get involved in politics. Politics is power and women love power.Women also like men who know what they want. You might want to figure out what you want in the way of a career, if you haven't already got it planned.

Yea I can relate to that but I go to tafe and 2 of my mates are in the same class as me so it's not so bad. Also tafe is like highschool but with heaps more freedom and more laid back. Since the classes have around 20+ students you can mix and mingle more easier than, say a uni with over 200 students all facing in one direction.
