I compete at the local level! Not much talent around here. I don't think i could compete with people on the show though!

I was glad when the black guy got booted off. He reminded me a lot of Chris Lebon from last season! They both talk way too much trash and the funny thing is, they couldn't back it up!

Leben holds titles in 3 MMA organizations and now he's a full time UFC fighter. In his last fight he defeated Canadian light heavyweight champ Patrick Cote.

The fights thus far on this season have all sucked azz except for the stevenson fight and last week's fight.

The UFC heavyweight division is weak right now because all the best heavyweight MMA fighters are in Pride.

I don't care what he holds! I've seen him fight; and each and every fight i've seen him fight in has been a snooze fest! I will be shocked if he lasts long in the UFC!

What are they paying guys in the UFC/PRIDE?

Don't give up on Leben just yet. He's fighting live on Spike TV Oct. 3rd.

Pay scales depend on who you are and how good you are. A level fighters in Pride such as Royce Gracie can make up to a million per fight. Ken Shamrock is currently the highest paid fighter in the UFC and he gets 460K per fight.

Pay per view fighters in the UFC get about 10K per fight to start until they prove themselves worthy of bigger pay days.

THe reason why i ask, a guy that goes to my gym has fought in the UFC (on pay-per-view) and he still lives with his parents.

Those guys are sooooooo underpaid considering the amount of training and skill level required to be successful!

I liked when Josh beat Melvins ass even with a broken bone.

I hated his ugly ****y ass, and I got to see him get beat.

There are probably thousands of MMA fighters in the US, but only a handful make it to the UFC and Pride to fight full time. Entry level fighters in Pride make about 30k per fight to start and get their purses doubled when they win fights.

Most guys I know that compete in MMA do it as a part time job fighting in local shows for the extra money and maintain full time jobs outside the sport.

If you're serious about competing in MMA then you should definately have Muay Thai included into your game.

But, I think he was a little over his head when he fought Vitor Belfort in pride 13.

Yes, I know who he is. He got choked out by Vitor in Pride in less than a minute I believe.
