The kidd, how many of those people do you think never heard of/saw a movie/comic book/"photo"/or read a description of an alien before their supposed encounter? I'm going to guess zero. Or, in the few cases where this is the case (natives in the Amazon or Africa perhaps..?) I would guess they either don't report aliens, or describe them differently.

Then is it any wonder they all reported the same thing? They have an idea already about what aliens look like, so of course that's what they'll 'see'. Interestingly, in Britain, almost NOBODY ever reported seeing Greys, they all saw Aryans. Then some popular book about aliens written in the US, and thus featuring Greys, became a hit over there, and all of a sudden the number of people reporting encounters with Greys skyrockets.

Surely you can see where I'm going with this - I don't think aliens started visiting England because of a book, more likely people started 'seeing' them because they were now on their minds.

That's another concept, that people expect to see UFO/USOs, because it tickles the mystery of 'something out there', but in reality, there could really be a rational explanation of what they are seeing, and this has been used to debunk many types of sitings.

However, it doesn't account for sitings where, people claim to have reported in a downed aircraft (i.e. not a UFO) and did not find any plane wreckage or there were no military or commercial planes or even private planes flying in the area where this is reported, like the incident in Shag Harbour, where even Canadian documents put UFO on it. I find this story a bit more interesting because of the fact UFO was placed and underlined three times in an official document that I'm even posting a link on it here.

http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=CZIOVpea03o

Review the Shag Harbour incident and tell me what you make of this since none of the people who called in reported a UFO, and there is no satisfactory official explanation of what they found or why there was a military build-up.

I'm also posting another link here -- people see lights, but they don't think it's a UFO, they think it's a downed aircraft - like in this part of the USA, then when they report it, they get all sorts of military personel invading their town and quarenteeing everything....all sounds very suspicious.

http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=D2E0TnRoZ6w

Another concept I wish to illustrate again, is that I have read books from Rebecca Brown, MD, which report someone saw a UFO in the sky that attempted to communicate telepathically with her. The aliens did not know or believe in Jesus and claimed to have their own gods. I think the lady rebuked them in the name of Jesus and the UFO flew away. Later on, when she tried to open a Bible, she was seeing swirling lights and was unable to read the print until she got an exorcism since something went into her after she telepatically communicated with the UFO.

I'm going to post a link from a pastor in Niagara Falls who will expouse the view that UFOs are really evil spirits and are not aliens from another planet (bottom of the page), and how an 8 year old girl got rid of an alien invasion on her property from a UFO that landed on her field.

Again, I have never personally seen a UFO/USO or rebuked them in the name of Jesus to see it go away, so everything I'm writing on here is second-hand or third-hand information. All I know is as long as it's not in my back yard and it is in someone else's, then it's fine by me.

I do not know anyone personally that has seen a UFO, and may have just crossed paths with one Real-Estate client from Mexico, about 5 years ago, that claimed to see a spherical object in Mexico, and that's all the first-hand exposure to this in my life. Everything else has been on books, youtube, or whatever, but honestly, I don't care what they are, to me it just seems like you are going into the 'Twilight Zone' if you see one.

I guess I want to be freaked out or something.

Went on youtube again to look at this clip on UFO end-time deception and read something that seemed to come straight from X-filed.

There seems to be a distinct purpose of abductions to create human-alien hybrids, and there are second/third generations of these human-alien hybrids that are being trained to obey orders and to prepare for something that will be occuring in the future.

In terms of Bible prophecy, UFO human-alien hybrids is usually downplayed by most scolars, but this idea puts an interesting spin on things.

I already know the Rapture - Jesus returning to take away born-again Christians from the world, and to raise dead Christians from all generations physically from the grave - is going to be explained by the UFOs beaming up millions of people. Even them 'aliens' are talking about something analogous to what the Bible is talking about the rapture.

But - where Jesus said, as the days of Noah, so shall the son of man be -- and the great flood was caused to wipe the earth from polluted human-hybrid offspring where Noah was the only genetically pure human that could be redeemed which is why he went into the ark -- makes it seem that another hybrid scenerio would mean 'as the days of Noah'. The reason the devil would contaminate the human gene pool is because Jesus was promised to come through the line of the woman -- Eve -- and there could be no contimination of this seed. So the counter-strategy was to contaminate it by introducing hybrids.

As Jesus has already come and has redeemed humanity -- as we are approaching the end-times, the next strategy would be this future world government under the anti-christ to block the prophecied second coming of Christ by deceiving the world to follow them. But, alien-human hybrids....wow...sounds rather far, but it's not precluded in Bible prophecy as being part of the Tribulation. Think lots of wierd things will occur after the raputre for those left behind to face the disaster that will be impending here.

Luke, or whatever is your real first name, stop talking about Jesus and all that jazz. For one, you know this thread will be locked. Secondly, religion is totally off the point. Thirdly, Rebecca Brown is a paranoid schizophrenic whose medical license was revoked by Indiana because she intentionally misdiagnosed patients, so she could give them wrong medication, because she believed they were demonic spirits. Why trust the cognitive perceptual abilities of a schizophrenic? Why even mention her?

Why do you think the Rapture is imminent Luke?
In general, certain Bible prophecies link this generation to the end-times for these following reasons:

1) The Nation of Israel is re-established, and the Third Temple could be constructed, and plans are being made to construct this temple. The book of Daniel prophecies that the anti-christ will make a peace treaty with Israel, and 3.5 years later will set himself up in this very temple as being god, breaking the treaty with Israel and defiling the Temple. The existance of the Nation of Israel and the Third Temple exist during the Tribulation period,.

2) Other prophecies indicate 'knowledge shall increase and people shall travel to and fro'....again this generation has seen unprecedented knowledge compared to other generations before, and transportation styles, such as the cars, are also mentioned somewhere in scripture on this generation (have to dig to find it though -- not specifically mentioned cars, but something that sounds strikingly similar).

3) Europe (Revived Roman Empire - geographical analogy to Ancient Roman Empire) to emerge as next super-power replacing the US. Already the US dollar is lower than the Euro and that seems to be happening.

Now there are other events, such as weather patterns, earthquakes, wars and rumours of wars that are going to also be more frequent ---

4) Moral decay -- the Bible talks about people being lovers of themselves more than lovers of God, proud, boastful, dangerous, deceitful, a very selfish and materalistic type of world -- this particular time seems in particularly marked on how moral values (Biblical standards) appear to have gone down to the gutter.

5) Access to the Gospel of Jesus Christ -- most of the world could hear the Gospel if they want to, by internet, TV, print, etc.... this is again another prophecy and telecommunications --- a world where an event anywhere could be viewed by anyone within an hour --- Revelation speaks of some global news network that show the two witnesses -- etc....

6) The spirit of the Anti-christ is already here....it's the spirit that denies that Jesus is God come to flesh, crucified and resurrected from the dead for our sins and the only way to the Father is by Jesus, and says, all ways lead to god, and that god is already inside of you, etc...... This person would be perceived as the saviour of all religions -- but true believers will be able to resist the deception.

Are just SOME of the reasons that come on the top of my head.

The alien-stuff just adds another dimension, but could also be incorporated as a sign of end-times especially if sightings are becoming more frequent and more and more people are seeing them or being abducted, etc....

But the Bible says....Phil 2:10 "That at the Name of Jesus EVERY knee should bow, of things in Heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth."
That includes both you and the mods here.

Why? It's a speculative topic anyway, nobody knows 100% what this phemonimon is, and if you have an explanation be my guest, but there is no reason to discount a religious interpretation to what it is, which offers an explanation to it.

Luke, three questions.

1. Is it not possible your Holy Book was written by and for a persecuted tribe two thousand years ago, and all the prophecies were supposed to happen quite soon after, not two thousand and counting years later? Don't you think God or Daniel or someone might have mentioned the huge time gap? Seems to me outside of your creation of Israel bit. the evidence for this being 'the end of times' would fit any time in the past or future if you wanted it to.

2. Why do you think that despite Christianity being widespread across the globe, it's mainly a few states in the Us that are into this whole Rapture deal?

3. If you'd been born in a muslim country, presumably you wouldn't get saved. Does that seem fair to you?

Yeah well that's up for debate. After all, I never bowed down to Zeus or Thor, and sneezed on Dionysus (after drinking his wine). But look, you clearly are a religious fundamentalist and by that virtue it will be impossible to have a logical reasoned discussion.

The burden of proof in belief first rests upon you the claimant making a claim and not skeptics to disprove the claim, but even though you have failed your burden of proof, I already did you a favor and outline the natural explanations of unidentified flying objects which are claimed to be flying saucers. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence and your presented case is underwhelming. That said, since you're taking this thread away from science and into religion, I hereby end my participation in this thread.

Sometimes prophecies have double meanings, they could refer to something that's occuring immiment to that time AND also refer to a distant event.

The book of Isaiah has many prophecies like this. It would have a prophecy relevant to Israel or a nation around it with immediate implications (which comes to pass), as well as have symbolism in it that may refer to the first, or second coming of Christ, or give spiritual insights about something else.

Thus, even if it had some significants as a past prophecy to warn Christians about an invading legion from Titus and to get away from Jerusalem, doesn't preclude that it could also mean a future event.

Nighthawk said:

This is a good point that must be addressed. The time gap is referred to as the church age, or dispensation of grace. The break of the time-gap stops when Israel is ruined by the Titus army, but starts again once it becomes a nation. Was Israel a continuous nation? No -- it's nation had a gap. So, that's a time-gap right there. The Bible also refers to a mystery not spoken about in the OT known as the church age where Gentiles would be part of the salvation plan, and it wouldn't be as restricted to Israel as it was before.

You didn't have cars at any time in the past, and in the distant future oil is going to run out and you wont have cars since this is a petro-society. The world population is supported by oil, in food, and transporation, etc.... what happens when the oil runs out or starts passing peak? It seems to be that we are in the think of things now.

Well, if it does happen and you are left behind, at least you'll know from this thread it wasn't a UFO if you are made to believe that after the event.

No, there is always the internet, missionaries, or otherwise there would be some form of access if I'm hungry enough to find the truth.

there was an article in the paper in the herald sun which is melbourne (australia)'s best selling paper, and it had 9 different alien accounts from all parts of australia. all of them described seeing a UFO and it moving exactly the same (not flying straight but sort of diagonally before disappearing all of a sudden)

I looked at the first four then got bored. Did anyone say they were all hallucinations? Deep Dish said that many alien abductions experiences could be. If you want to convince me of aliens visiting, those links just don't do it, and neither does anecdotal evidence or John McCain saying UFOs are interesting.

There are many reasons for lights in the sky, from commercial and military aircraft to weather balloons and regular balloons, and a string of recent UK sightings turned out to be chinese lanterns.

If the claim is that beings from another planet or dimension are visiting earth, you need some pretty solid evidence. Like one of the aliens, or their spacecraft, or a video that doesn't have a more likely explanation.

As for a conspiracy, you could never keep the lid on this one. Too many people, especially in NASA, would love nothing more than good evidence of alien life and it would be leaked. Anytime there is an alleged military cover-up, think of all those soldiers that would know 'the truth.'

And I agree with Deep Dish, evidence of aliens would not cause mass panic. In fact it would be used by governments for extra military spending and to ratchet up the paranoia they love to use to keep themselves in power.

I have read some explanatory theories that are about as far out there as the flying saucer idea. What I read said that we didn't have the flying saucer stories until the science fiction craze and space race of the 1950's. The ufo stories are all the same, according to this theory, because we all communicate the idea through a sort of mass human consciousness. It's like as if humanity is one consciousness, and that one entity has a few defects. Like a personality disorder in an individual, ufo theories are a defect in our collective human consciousness.

Here is a link about global consciousness. Notice that it is from princeton.edu, which in my mind is much more credible than random Internet sites:

Now this is funny. This has to be one of your funniest threads yet Luke.

Let's not get in to a discussion about religion though. It's just that there are too many people of varyng ages and different points of view. Fights always break out.

What about evidence of people with peculiar DNA pecularities such as this woman from Porto-Rico. Notice how her eyes are unusual, and her doctor things something is wierd about her DNA.

http://www.agoracosmopolitan.com/home/Frontpage/2007/03/16/01405.html

You never know which woman could be a hybrid, they look very human these days. They claim they are making genetic manipulations of human DNA in these abduction caes, and have been raising generations of hybrids which are looking more and more human, like this article says.

I'm currently doing further research online for the presence of hybrids. This woman looks pretty at least, other hybrid ladies look ugly.

So what was the military fighting at? Why do people who are reporting downed aircrafts find there is no wreckage and see a big military cover-up about the event? There are lots of pieces that are unaccounted for to just be dismissed like that. All the big coverups, Shag Harbour, Roswell, Kerchand, were all initially reported as some plane crash by the public, not as a UFO. I find these unexplained crashes that are being covered up by government are the biggest evidence in my book that something is up.

Unless the government is in cahootz with the aliens themselves as portrayed in the X-files, or is unable to control whatever phenominon it is and wants to avoid pandemonium or mass panic.

It's like airline pilots reporting UFOs getting uncomfortably close to their plane. If word really got out about that, and people were really on the look for UFO crashes, the airline industry would go bankrupt overnight if people believed that there are unknown flying objects out there that can appear at will and potentially crash their plane? I don't know about you, but I don't feel 100% comfortable at 35 000 feet cruise altitude, if that plane goes down, even by 10 000 feet on a shart decline that's going to be a trip from hell. Now you got UFOs that could obstruct a flight -- if this was true for a few planes, where this really occurred and this was officially publicised and taken seriously -- goodbye airline industry, nobody would fly in it.

Similar with government here -- if people knew there was an alien threat or anything like that, or something that the government and it's military can not control to protect it's citizens, then it's better keeping it hush, since disclosing it will just cause panic and go nowhere.

Nighthawk said:

Yeah, it would cause mass panic. If just one plane gets down by a UFO crash, and there is an official report about it, then I wonder how the public would feel about riding in an aircraft? Maybe it has, but of course they would make sure to keep a lid on that one.

First of, I want to say that I have always found Skywalkers threads the best(no homo)!

I agree it is fun to watch all the conspiracy theorie you tube videos.

However, I think it is also important to take it all with a grain of salt.
At least try use these videos for some intellectual stimulation instead of a basis for political decision.

Oh yeah, I forgot, airplanes will avoid UFO hotspots because they airline companies know where they are....look at this article from india daily.

http://www.indiadaily.com/editorial/7819.asp

So you don't have to worry if you are flying, I forgot, the airline companies know what they are doing and wont risk crashing on them UFOs.

Wow, the conspiracy knows no bounds. It seems like there are more people in on it than are not in on it.

Think about all of the people who would be wise to random avoidance of certain areas or irregular and nonsensical flight paths - pilots, air traffic controllers, the FAA, stewardesses, homeland security, military radar operators, the Air Force - do you really think all of those people can keep a secret like "psst! hey, don't tell anyone about the alien-avoidance detours we take all the time, okay?"

This reminds of the time I called 911 a long time ago...

I was standing on our balcony with my little brother and parents staring out at the sky. All of a sudden, I saw lights in the sky (circular objects that kept moving to and fro). I immediately concluded that it was a UFO (I told my brother as much).

So I crept back inside and unbeknownst to my parents, I dialed 911 and told them about the "strange" lights.

The operator was kind and promptly informed my ignorant child-mind that "those lights are probably coming from a nearby car dealership, dear." Right. Car dealership. I forgot.

I still think they exist. She didn't know what she was talking about! :nervous:

Dude, you lost me at "rapture".

You are not in a sect are you?

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
