Anyone got any suggestions on quick, large meals? I'm working a 9-5 this summer so not having to cook on lunch would be great, I already have some ideas and am a pretty good cook, looking to find out what ibshould buy in bulk now.

And apologies for any weird typos, this ipad auto corrects a lot of my along into other ****.
Milk, tuna, sardines, cottage cheese, home made protein bars, nuts, peanut butter sandwiches, boiled eggs, wholewheat pasta, chicken, salami, baked sweet potato, flask full of milk and protein powder.

Not exactly meal ideas I know but I'm sure you can use your imagination and think of something using those. If I were you I'd probably make up some big ****in sandwiches and cram lots of things in there. Oh and take some milk too :D

At the beginning stages almost any routine will be enough to make you grow...even mens fitness magazine routines. The main reason people lack results in this stage is because there diets are terrible. I'm confident I could go into any standard commercial gym and take the 90% of guys that look the same each year that are trying to look different and have them make the most progress they've ever made in there life with only diet changes in 6months. All i'd ask for them is to send me a copy of the routine there using so I can customize the diet. If guys spent as much time arguing/debating/researching diet methods, food choices, meal planning, scheduling, lifestyle issues, saving money on food strategies as they did on routines, a lot more goals would be reached. Just something to think about.

Yea you're right, more is better.....

If only you'd told me this before I wasted the last 7 months of my life doing full body routines 3 days a week and I only gained 2 stone in weight. Must be all fat too coz my abs are still poking out, that means it's fat right?
If I'd known this info I could have maximyzed my gainz evin moar!!!!!
Where were you CarlitosWay!?!?

28 lbs or so something like that I imagine ? eh? pretty good. Before/after pics? How much did your lifts improve?

First year lifting one should gave 20+ lbs fairly easy no matter the routine, give they're eating right and not just working out their upper bodies.

;) :D
anyways good job.

none the less EFFORT is correct. Most don't eat enough, to gain 20-30 lbs first year isn't hard, but eating to get yourself over 70-80 lbs more than beginning weight ...takes a lot of damn food.

Cheers man.
I agree with you both, at first it really doesn't matter what routine you have, as long as you work hard at it and eat enough good food. For the first 4 months I didn't even have a proper set of weights, my routine was mostly handstand pushups, pull/chin ups, lots and lots of push ups etc and I still gained some decent weight.
I went from not being able to do even half a hs push up to doing 4 in a row. Since I started SS 6 weeks ago my squat went from 65kg to 107.5kg 3x5, deadlift 65kg to 110kg 1x5, bench 40kg to 57.5kg 3x5. I still have a long ways to go.

Don't have any before photos I'm afraid, never really wanted to take a pic of myself shirtless before as there was nothing to be proud of then.
I was around 144lbs before I started training and I'm now up to 174.

Hey all, quick update, wanted to let you all know you hadn't wasted your time.

I'm on my iPad and about to go out somewhere so forgive any typos or haste, don't have time to post my journal yet or anything but vie kept notes of the weights, reps and sets ive been doing and a diet.

Ive hit the gym at 6 am wed and Friday, did workout b and a of the ripptoe program since I'm sticking with that, gonna continue staying focused hitting it early.

Been eating like mad according to what you all have suggested, made protein cookies, cut out most fast food ( some japanese cuisine around here actually is full of beef and veggies), and have been eating 5-7 large meals a day.

I don't want to sound overexcited, but I'm pretty sure at least on the diet side I've gotten a few things right, vie never been so hungry in my life and I've lays been extremely hungry for such a small guy, but I've been downing like shakes and meals every 2-3 hours with snacks in between, and it's not even a conscious thing, my body has jus been craving it.

Probably shiuldvejust started my journal in the time I wasted posting this, but didn't anticipate having that much time, anyway, I'm gonna try to organize this all better and into a journal late on, just wanted you all to know I haven't *****ed out.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.
