I've noticed that the NICE GUY vs. STRONG GUY thing is appearing everywhere on tv.

ED: Im a big fan of this show, because its droll and produced by letterman. Ed's been "chasing" carol for forever, but she chose "bad mysterious boy" dennis instead. Ed finally kissed her without asking, and acting like a man instead of some high school band member. Now carol thinks the NEW ed is mysterious.

THE BACHELOR: I admit to watching this show because it's politically incorrect, and reveals how women are PRACTICAL.....NOT romantic. They all want to land this guy because its a competition, and women LOVE competitions.

FRIENDS: Ross is the ultimate wuzz. Rachel's DYING for him to grow up, marry her, and assume the man of the house role. Why the rachel character would have any interest in ross is beyond my imagination.

Some Typical NICE guy behavior:::"asking" women out in a sort of begging fashion, not being able to "sort out your feelings"(ross), whatever.

Joey, OTOH, is your classic DJ. Chandler is pretty much a self-confessed AFC but I have seen some moments (in past years) in which he is not afraid to approach a girl, and be funny and even a little ****y.

"Sex and the City" is littered with classic examples of AFCs, DJs, and jerks ("Big" for instance). The guy Carrie cheated on with Big was a great DJ in AFC clothing, right down to heightening her interest level by not calling her (or even returning her calls) for days. Oh yeah, Samantha is TV's all time greatest female DJ.

Frasier and Niles? AFC...but note how Daphne totally went for Niles when he hooked up with someone else and stopped showing interest.

Seinfeld...as DJ as you can get, classic example of someone who gets chicks without being Mr. Universe. Kramer? DJ of course, the biggest one on the show. George? Alternates between AFC and jerk and seems to have no middle setting LOL...

Robert on "Everybody Loves Raymond"...classic AFC. (With his mother that far down his neck how could he not be?) So is Ray, for that matter, at least in the flashbacks.

The Sopranos...they're *all* DJs, even Tony, despite his therapy sessions (and being married). Great one to watch as a "how-to."

ER...George Clooney was one of TV's greatest DJs ever. Now we're left with borderline AFC Noah Wyle.

DJs on Nick at Nite...Alex P. Keaton, Sam Malone, Woody Boyd, Cliff & Theo Huxtable, Ricky Ricardo, Andy Taylor, Barney Fife. Yes, Barney Fife...just watch him with Juanita down at the diner, or Thelma Lou, he gets plenty. It's all in his attitude.

Superman I (more so than the others) is classic; Clark Kent is the ultimate AFC while Superman is the supreme DJ: exuding confidence; control and calm, charm, challenge.

You guys are forgeting the best: the movie Swingers! Trent and Sue are the biggest Djs! Remember at the Dresden, when they thought those two girls were looking at them? "School let out early today." " I think they like our vibe.." A quick, short glance by one of the girls their way was enough for the both of them to move in with no hesitation and supreme confidence.
Mike,on the other hand, is your classic post breakup AFC. Throughout the movie, he misses out on countless numbers of oportunities when girls were giving him the "talk to me" sign. And at the end, the only reason he got that Lorraine girl is because she picked HIM up,despite his stupid remarks in the beginning, like admitting that he is not a real man. Swingers is a perfect example of the contrasts between Djs and AFCs....one of my all time favorite movies!

Ocean's Eleven. All of those guys are DJ. they all have charm and confidence. the all act very smoothly and calm in intense situations. the biggest of these of course is Clooney's character. He just goes about his busisness without worrying about anybody else.

You should check out the original sometime with the *real* rat pack (Sinatra, Davis Jr., etc). There's a group of DJs...

Jamie Foxx...remember on the show how he would always hit on Fancy even when she didn't like him. And also whenever he went with someone else she would get extremely jealous... he also had ambition, tryin to do the actin and singin thing...he had a life besides her by hangin out with the guyz and stuff when they WERE together. They ended up gettin married...nuff said
