I've just realized that 1 can of tuna contains 2.5 servings, thats 16 grams per serving, comes out to 48 grams of protein in 180 calories and 2.5 grams of fat. Thats better than any protein powder I know of.
Lets take a usual whey protein, in a single serving you get 24 grams of protein 130 calories, and 1.5 grams of fat.
1 can of tuna: 48g protein, 180 calories, 2.5g fat
1 scoop powr: 24g protein, 130 calories, 1.5g fat
Is whey protein powder something better that you can take to bulk up? Is protein from tuna any less of quality when it comes to building muscles?
If you only take 1 scoop of protein after workout, is it any harm to substitude 1 can of tuna after work out?
I just felt a bit hungry because I'm cutting back, ate a can of tuna and it feels alright now! Before today I thought tuna has 16 grams of protein and 1 serving per can.
