Have a date scheduled for tonight with a woman I met off tinder. We both agreed to meet at this bar at 8. Well earlier today, she messages me on tinder saying “let’s meet at 8:30. I stayed a little later for a meeting.”

I took that as a minor red flag and told her we agreed to meet at 8. I was going to head straight there after work and I really don’t want to wait an extra 30 min. She backpedaled and went back to the original time.

Was I too harsh or did I pass a test?

The only red flag I'm seeing is basing your plans on a woman's mood in the first place. If you don't want to do the activity you invite a woman for by yourself no matter whether or when she comes, then you're putting your balls in her hands.

There is no flag or test here. People get delayed sometimes. Don’t make it into something it’s not. Inflexibility ruins your attitude.

If she's not there by 8:30, leave. Teach people to respect your time. There is a thin line between flexibility and not respecting the worth of your own time.

You can't chill for 30 mins by yourself? Drive yourself there a little slower and make it a 15 minute wait?

$hit, be glad she's got a JOB!

People run late. It happens. At least she was respectful enough to let you know early in the day rather than waiting until last minute.

And if you got that butthurt over her running late and letting you know about it, I could imagine what your thread would have been had she decided to cancel or flake because she didnt have time to get ready after you made her feel like shyte for running late.

Can you imagine asking someone to borrow $100 and them offering you $50 instead, and you look at them and say "But I said I wanted $100".

Its ungrateful and disturbing, just like your attitude of playing hard @ss and saying "I told her we agreed to meet at 8".

Chill out dude. You dont fvcking own these women and that attitude will cause you to lose dates.

Women want to date fun, outgoing and chill guys.
