The fact is there are about 1,000,000 abortions a year in the USA and that number has been around year in and year out for over 30 years.

That isn't about anyone's health or wellbeing. Abortion is being used as a method of birth control. As such, it's disgusting. I get that the state shouldn't have much to say about what adults do with their bodies. But I also understand why this issue stays center stage.

Neither the pro 'choice' nor pro 'life' movements want this issue solved. Because if they did, they would work together to make abortion less frequent. But they don't do that. They stand at opposite ends of the issue and screech at each other and make millions of dollars making sure that they keep screeching at each other.

birth control, by any means is an overall good thing. The world has 10x as many people as it can give a decent living to. half of the world's population tries to "live" on $2000 US per year and 1/4 of the population lives on less than 1k US per year. you call that a LIFE? I dont gaf where it is, you CANNOT have a real life there on less than 5k a year and if you want to support a wife and raise kids properly, it's 15k per year, minimum. So no, the world does NOT have the resources needed to support even 10% of the population ALREADY here and if you have more than one kid, you are making it WORSE, for everybody.

There's a lot of gray area as to when a fetus is deemed 'viable'.

It's a debate worth having, but I'm saying that I believe a woman should be able to do whatever she wants, whenever she wants.

So don't make blanket statements that you need to back track on later.

You can believe what ever you like. It's a free nation and a democratic republic. Your belief is your belief, nothing more and nothing less.

Procedures for second and third trimester abortions are not much like first trimester abortion on demand. The consultation and documentation is all but wholly different and for a lot of reasons to protect the mother, the doctor and the fetus.

The reason the SC won't hear these cases is because the enabling laws, case law and precedents of lower courts are clear.

Exactly. And referencing the original subject: More than likely Trump was thinking this when he made the statement re punishment for abortion . It just didn't come out sounding like it. There are times as of late that I wish Trump would just keep his mouth shut so more attacks on him can not be sparked. But overall he is human. Put any human being under the fire he has been under lately being you, me, Obama, any of the candidates, your momma, my momma, anyone... And I guarantee words may not come out perfectly, thoughts may not be fully articulated. Yes, sweat may even come out. Trump could say the exact words "The sky is blue" and it would be turned into "Tump said people who fly in planes in the sky are depressed blue people. Trump hates people who fly in airplanes"..
