Tricking the system

The way most people I have known work is they want something slightly out of reach. They say I will be happy when I reach XYZ. Once they finally get XYZ, then they set some new blockade, some external source as the reason for their unhappiness... if I just had XYZ then I'd finally be happy.

Their happiness is always controlled by some external source, and they are always working hard to defeat or obtain something external to themselves. This works pretty good as a system, because it means you will have to work your whole life for a few fleeting moments of happiness. You will never really do what you want, but instead waste your whole life for the benefit of others. You will be the validation seeking puppydog of the entire world.

There is another way, though. You can simply not follow the system and start being happy. The system is in no danger because only a handful of men will ever not choose to follow it to the bitter end. You can just start taking what you want from life and start being happy today. You can be happy just to be alive, everyday is a good day I say. Instead of working your whole life to have a fancy house to take that hot blonde to, you can just bring her to your apt today. Instead of being sad because you didn't get XYZ, you can just be happy and not really care.

This isn't to say you live in a box and say, geee isn't life grand. But it is to say that the only person who can ever control your happiness is you. You and you alone are in control of your own happeiness. You have to make that dream vacation happen, you have to make that night with the hot blonde. Nothing ever came easy to me, but I've done it all. I've had sex with middle eastern women in a garden tub in a room with cheetah print carpet, I've had sex with some of the most beautiful women I've ever seen in my life, I've had multiple women at once, I've had sex with a guys wife while he was watching, I've taken extended vacations through Europe, Central America, South America, Canada, etc. I've had sex with women in all of these places. Depending on my presentation I am between a 7 and an 8.5... not exactly an allstar in the looks department. I've gotten at low as a 6, proving that hair and clothes do make a huge difference. None of this stuff is out of reach for anyone on this forum. There is always a way, the problem is you have to be willing to make it happen. I've done every single thing I wanted to do in life, and when I think up something new, I'm going to do that too despite the huge debts working against me.

Now some guys say Education is the key, some guys say MOney is the key, some guys say LOOKS are the key. These are all good things. It's good to have a job you enjoy. It is good to have enough money to buy the things you want. It is good to be in shape. However, in my mind the goal in life is to be happy and to have lived the life you truly desired. Its ok to have external wants but just REALLY do them and don't beat yourself up forever about the ones that aren't doable and don't not do the ones that are doable because of excuses. Travel, women, and (asusming you're not sufeering from a serious medical condition) physical health is within the grasps of you. If it's too hard to get within the system, then go around it and just trick the system. I've done this through much of my life, I had to make things happen when it wasn't possible to do so. This is one way to get things done. We are men, we get satisfaction through the doing, and sometimes this kind of emotional uplifter can be helpful despite what I've said throughout this post.

something like that...

I don't want to ever be satisfied with life. I like the idea that life is a constant uphill battle that never ends... I don't want to ever have it easy...

This is the most fvcking ridiculous messsage I've ever read in my entire life, and this INCLUDES ace of flames' messages!

what the fvck are you saying, that unhappiness causes failure? Don't you think you have it backwards, that people first have failures, and THEN they get depressed, if they always succeeded then they have nothing to be unhappy about.

This is the type of advice I hate the most, I don't have anything against you as a person, as a matter of fact you're only saying this because somebody else brainwashed you, and you don't know you are brainwashing others as well. Well let me wake you up, happiness DOES NOT come from within. Trust me, I've been meditating for years, nothing against meditation, it helps, spirituality helps too, but if I"m going to be locked in a cage for my whole life, I'm not exactly going to want to hear "happiness comes from within".

You're right about one thing tho, we as people NEED goals in order to look forward to the future. If I got spoonfed, of course I will hate it.
Look, let me put it this way, maybe you'll stop brainwashing yourself. If I'm with a HB6, I am not going to be very happy because there are PLENTY of them... However if I get a HB9 or HB10 in bed, I'm going to be very happy because they are VERY RARE. As a matter of fact I will come all over their face

I don't like your form of brainwashing.

it's a dangerous message.

most of the afc crowd lived a long time just trying to live with what we got. to be content with what we have.

i think there's an element of truth in this buddhist idea - especially for things that you absolutely cannot do anything about - like being in prison or a being in a lower caste is strict class society. but for most of the guys here, i think it's better to STRIVE.

honestly, don't you?

also, you dismiss the fact that the philosophy that you present will somehow interfere with motivation but i can't reconcile that idea.

Well excuse me for brainwashing you, self-masturbator.

Can you tell me how it is brainwashing? Can you tell me how I'm wrong in saying a hot woman is better than a mediocre woman? Can you tell me how I'm wrong about becoming more happy if my tongue, right now as I type, is... well I'd rather not say. You are probably too young to hear stuff like this anyway.

If you carefully read my post I don't suggest dropping all goals. You have to reread the entire post. I said if you want something, then go do-it right now today. If you want a 10, go and do everything you know to do until you have the 10. Whatever you do, don't sit around wanting and wishing and never acting. That is what the post says. That's what I have been doing for a long time now. I find something I want, and I either get it or do everything I know to try getting it. I am completely content with life because I know I didn't hold back. That's what I recommend. Not working, and working and working so that *somedaY* you'll feel good enough about yourself to go after what you want.

The guilt of wanting but never acting on the wants is what I think send many men into negative thoughts.

RFK, you seem to be controlled by wants and desires. MY q for you, is have you *really* done everything you possibly could to get what you want out of life. Is there some part of you that has been holding back?

There is always a way to get what you want. There isn't any time in this life for pitty parties, fun as they may be. And I believe we should live for the individual self, so why do people worry about what others think. That is a big problem I see that gets in the way of getting what one wants in life. Hopefully, no one on this forum will be locked in a cage anytime soon :)
