Hi, I've taken 2 different tribulus products. One was by biotest, and I forget who made the other. One was VERY effective (also helped with depression). It was however, hard to digest and played havoc on my digestive system.

The other one was not bad either.

Good brands are Tribex, and Fuzu.

It will not shut down your natural production of testosterone (that's steroids that you're thinking of).

If you want to increase your sex drive, try oatmeal. Its very effective. I mix mine in a yogurt and protein shake.

If you don't mind my asking, what brand are you taking? Let us know how it goes. Thanks

I'm only doing about 300mg a day. I haven't heard of the testosterone rumor but I also take a ZMA stack so no worries.

tribulus is a simple herb that makes your testicles produce more testosterone, it does not shut down your natural production of testosterone, as it is responsible for your natural production of testosterone.

tribulus is a herb that makes you produce more testosterone from WITHIN. zinc & magnesium (ZMA) do this as well.

the reason you heard it "shuts down natural production" is because as soon as idiots hear the word testosterone, they immediatly think it's a steroid or a prohormone.

if you take steroids, then you are getting testosterone from the OUTSIDE. your body gets testosterone from the outside in aphysiological doses, and as a result it stops producing its own since it doesn't need to.

hope that clears it up.

p.s. If you're gonna buy tribulus, buy german tribulus, as the bulgarian one isn't that good. here are some good products:

NxCare T3: Nitro - it's good because it's a German Tribulus supplement, ZMA (zinc + magnesium) and NO supplement all in one: http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/nx/nitro.html

Nutrex Vitrix - out of all the trib supplements on bodybuilding.com, this one was rated the best one by their supplement reviews: http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/nutrex/vitrix.html

So now I'm curious, why is the German kind better?

Both German & Bulgarian trib come from plants grown in Bulgaria, however german labs have a better way of extracting it.

Tribulus has two active constituents: tesosterone boosting saponins of two types – furostanols & spirostanols. Furostanol saponins are not bio-active. That means they must be converted to spirostanols first before your body can use them.

German labs extract the trib in liquid form, and it has a much higher concetration of spirstanol saponins.

In English - it's better quality, and has much better absorption rate.

But if you can't find German, then Bulgarian will do I guess (but it wont be as efficient). However the ones from the east (China, India) and south america (Brazil) don't yield high concetrations of spirostanol saponins, and don't really make a difference. So I wouldn't waste cash on them.

How does it make you feel? How did you feel it helped?
Less tired after the gym? More sexul drive.. any woman would turn you on?

Currently I feel like I dont want anything...food is not tasty, sleep is not sweet anymore. Can it be attirbuted to low level of testosterone? Even if I go and try tribulus product and it works I kind of not willing to take it forever...
Is there any way to naturally increase testosterone production by diet, regime, sleep etc?

That sounds like depression. Depression leads to lower testosterone, and also vice versa (meaning you could be depressed because your testosterone levels are low).

From the way you type in your other posts, you do sound depressed. I'm suffering from the same thing right now, and will probably see a doctor soon.
