Hey,
Just recently, track season started again for me. I was wondering what would be a great way to get to know girls on my track team (maybe even others from other schools at meets too)?
Overall, for some reason, I don't seem as confident in myself this year in track as general-I realized how out of shape I am and I just don't seem to be where I should be (don't do any running sports though). Take this coupled with me trying to be social and loss of friends in track (some aren't doing it right now or are on other events) and you got a genuine AFC experience of someone who is quiet and goes about his event not really talking.
Any ideas to open up in general to anyone (especially girls though) despite my poor-ish performance?
Also, there was a more specific genuine AFC experience I had today. I was practicing with my event-following what my coach said and there was this time where the coach told juniors and freshmen to get in a corner for a exercise and this really hot girl (like maybe even a 8.5-9) was like "Haha, am I the only junior?" I was standing behind the group, and a freshman pointed me out and she was like, "Ohh, I'm sorry haha, (etc.)" I just replied, "Yeah, it's ok, I look like a freshmen." "No, you don't (and something else-I believe it was, "I've never seen you")." And that was it. I didn't feel confident in track at the time so there was no way I would with this girl and we just moved on, not saying anything again.
So about three minutes later as I was exercising with the group and running, it snapped in my head: "MISSED OPPORTUNITY."
So, (not necessary specific to this girl (would be nice though) how would I go about using track to my advantage?
Also, this is unrelated to DJ-ing, so please put the actual topic foremost, but, I currently have a 16GB iPod Touch as my music player, but with track, I want to use one but don't want to use my iPod Touch. Anyone use a separate, cheap Shuffle/Sansa-Clip type music player for working out/sports?
Thanks!
