Too bad i don't really like Picotto or Vath, but Oakey alone would make this worth while! Its still good to have another room with good electronic beats to alternate between though

This event is getting split in two. For Oakenfold at Guvernment, there will be no advance tickets, just an $20 ($15 before 11PM) cover at the door. For Picotto and Vath at Kool Haus, there will be advance tickets costing upwards of $35, or higher at the door. I don't dig Vath or Picotto at all, so i'll be going to Guvernment to see Oakey as originally planned.

One request, for anyone who's planning on coming, would you consider bringing along a female friend who could be additional social proof?

I went with a few friends to tonic nightclub last night in toronto.. and I tried to take a good hard look at the dynamics that were at work in there.

I've just spent several hours reading through everything I could find on here about the clubbing environment, and being seen with a group of people is a *big* factor. A lot bigger than I had thought.

If you do bring a female, please make sure that she will be friendly and dance with the guys in our group. If she is standoffish, that will be very bad for business.

Social proof makes little difference if its a party of this scale. Do you remember when we went to see Armin at Guv? The place was so dark and packed that it was nearly impossible to tell who's with who! Hell, me and vlad even lost ryan an hour after we came and i haven't seen him since! But either way, the more girls the better, so i'm with ya!

However, don't worry about it. If no one shows just go yourself, and **** social proof and wingmen. If you can get at least 20 numbers tonight from HB's 8.5+ ALONE (without wingmen or social proof [even if they do come, just leave and find other groups and tell them you'll be back]), I will consider you a REAL DJ

Didn't feel like waiting in line alone for an hour at 2AM. From now on, i'm gonna do things differently. Since i can't count on anyone, i'll make plans to go alone - if someone shows up... *gasp* .... then great, but if not, my original plan will still be in tact and i'll go alone if i have to. Check out a few of the threads i just started. I'll be at Gabriel & Dresden with or without you guys.
