you THINK you have high cholesterol or you actually do?

exercise, a high fibre diet, weight loss (if applicable), no refined carbs and low carbs in general, and at least a moderate fat intake will reduce your cholesterol.

get some bloodwork if you think your cholesterol is high

I find it highly unlikely that had anything to do with it, unless you have genetic cholesterol disorders. there's guys knocking back 2-3 dozen eggs a day and their cholesterol is in perfect order. the ingestion of dietary cholesterol should, if you are healthy, reduce your own levels or keep them the same at best.

what is your weight, bf% and daily diet and how often do you exercise.

I just had a conversation with a coworker who kept saying that eating the way I do (read high fat/protein) can't be good for me (read high cholesterol). With all that I've learned here I tried to explain to them that eating high cholesterol doesn't directly corrolate to someone having high cholesterol (as thats mostly genetic) well they wouldn't have it.

Then it occured to me I've never been tested.. so I called and made an apt for bloodwork next thursday with my doc to get it checked as I've been eating between 9-16 eggs per day since Jan of this year.

I can't wait to look at my numbers so I can throw it in the face of my coworker! :D

My cholesterol levels came back perfect and I was on 12 to 24 eggs a day for a year.

I don't get the driving need for people to convince others of things.

I have a number of co-workers now that try to lecture me about how i eat. So far i'm going to have a heart attack and my kidneys will shut down. It takes minutes of looking any of this stuff up but they will want to argue anything without the slightest bit of knowledge. Start spewing stuff out like "insulin sensitivity" while they stare at you stupidly, and you'll wonder why you talk to them at all if they know next to nothing. Then they will start a story abotu someone or other they know that had all kinds of problems with something or other, when that person really didn't do what they said they did or the story teller is just making it up in order to be right.

I don't talk to my mechanic about composing classical music, so i don't know why you would want to talk to average frumpy dude about healthful diet.

Ok... been feeding myself heavy amounts of whey protein, eggs, and I had a nice piece of steak for lunch.

I plan to lift some heavy weights tonight. Yay or nay?

Suggestions please?

Why wouldn't you lift weights tonight?

Or do you mean suggestions on a routine?

Christ, I'm so out of shape. Last summer, cut as a mothasucka... now, spare tires galore.

Did lift heavy weights, instead my normal weights (stuff I can do 3x10 reps with)

Did I mention that I'm freakn out of shape.. damn when you get old, it takes nothing to put you out of shape.
