The title sums up my point!

I think we all spend too long on here debating intricate details about what is a good date idea, what the right thing to say is, how to open, whether to hug or shake hands etc etc

This surely goes against the DJ mindset of effectively not giving a fvck!?

I mean, so long as we know the basics and have read the bible, I'm honestly sure we dont need to keep second guessing ourselves, and have to have a 2-page response thread to "how do I ask her out?" etc.

Totally hypocritical btw, because I have done this myself many times... I just feel that we maybe spend too long on here analysing things that are quite unimportant/unneccesary...and in a lot of cases, this can ruin things rather than help you out in field.

agreed, but the newbies need a structured set of rules and ideas to help them get off their crutches. God knows I did. Once their experienced enough, then yes, no need to overanalyze anymore

Agleed, Mostly the people on this board need experience. Go out and get some. That's the fastest way to improve.

Yeah you have a good point but also realise that many new guys are socially awkward. They are here at this site to smooth their style out---->meaning seemingly simple things will need to be discussed.

They learn what to do here and then go out and see what kind of response they get. Trial and error

women want confidence, they want humour, honesty and good manners...ask about her and find out what she likes to do on a date

meet her with a grin and a peck on the cheek. be genuine

if she's right for you it'll flow like water if it aint - well whats a few hours...

no need to analize just get out there n practice

This excuse has been said before... but if you notice, 90% of the 3+ pages of over-analyzing are done by members who have been here a long time.
