I'm on the Simple Starting Diet, and 3 shakes a day, w/ 3 eggs per shake, puts me at 9 whole eggs a day. I've been following it so far.

I'm sure my heart will stop at some point due to the cholesterol. Am I hurting myself with all the eggs?

Ever hear of egg whites?

And three shakes a day? While that's normal, you better make sure you aren't putting much fat in them, if any fat at all.

I really don't believe eggs are bad for y ou. Read this entire thread, lots of evidence - http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=125749

Also you could get your cholestral checked every month to see what happens to it if your so worried. For the record, I've eaten at least 12 eggs a day for the last 8 months, and when i had my check up last month there was nothing wrong with me.

TERRIBLE ADVICE.

FAT IS GOOD FOR YOU.

EGGS RAISE DIETARY CHOLESTEROL NOT BLOOD CHOLESTEROL.
THEY ACTUALLY HELP LOWER blood cholesterol that you all worry about.
Look **** up before you send the boy in the wrong direction.

I did look it up, several people I've seen that have gotten ripped/cut in a short amount of time have ate lots of egg whites. Browse workout diets of the people who take this stuff seriously. I'll bet you'll find egg whites all over the place.

Second of all, I never said anything about eggs and cholesterol. So don't make false accusations.

And you want to avoid fat immediately after a workout, this is a common known fact that I have read on several workout forums, in several health/workout magazines, and everything related to it.

If you really believe that people are getting cut because of eating eggs whites then you have a lot to learn

Browse workout diets of the people who take this stuff seriously. I'll bet you'll find egg whites all over the place.

Again your not looking at the big picture. Browse the same workout diets of people who take it seriously and you'll see consistency, correct cal intake for there body, correct training for there body, enough sleep, cardio, good supplementation. If having some egg whites was all it took wouldn't everyone be walking around cut.

Second of all, I never said anything about eggs and cholesterol. So don't make false accusations.

True, but you did say to avoid fat as if its a bad thing, which implies that you obviously haven't done enough research.

And you want to avoid fat immediately after a workout, this is a common known fact that I have read on several workout forums, in several health/workout magazines, and everything related to it.

Not sure what your talking about here man.

Check bold.

cholesterol eventually breaks down into fat (and used for energy), expelled from the body or used for various steroid hormones, production of bile and assistance for bone growth etc, etc, etc.

People who die from any coronary problems usually have normal cholesterol levels.

Not 1 human being has ever died from cholesterol, however many people die from unhealthy lifestyles.

I've actually just switched to egg whites in the past few weeks and I've been noticing some drastic changes. So maybe scrambled eggs work better for you, but egg whites are apparently working well for my body.

I'm not saying the only reason those people who do well do well is because of egg whites. I agree that they are consistent, get the correct calorie intake, etc. But if you look at the eggs on their diet it's not scrambled eggs, it's egg whites. Egg whites are always the specific kind of eggs they're eating.

When I said avoid fat, I meant after a workout and I didn't mean entirely avoid it. Everyone knows protein is the primary thing you should intake after a workout, even though I'm not saying it's the only thing.

So what? What does this say about egg whites or whole eggs? It doesn't say anything about either.

It just says that egg whites don't kill you. That's it.

There's no evidence there at all that says egg whites or whole eggs are doing anything.

I'm sure some of those guys drank beer too. I guess beer helps your gains and aids fat loss too.

It's really just a waste to throw out egg yolks because those people not eating the yolks are just making up for the lost calories from throwing those out in other ways that the whole egg eaters don't have to bother with.

This egg white/whole egg debate comes up time and time again. It's a simple search. None of the whole egg proponents have had heart attacks or died from cholesterol or whatever in the years i've been on this board.

I've actually just switched to egg whites in the past few weeks and I've been noticing some drastic changes.
That's just crap. You're either lying or changed something else too. Did you just not replace the fat from the eggs with anything and surprise surprise you don't have as many calories anymore so you lost weight?

I'm not saying that it says anything at all about egg whites. I'm simply stating that egg whites is the form of eggs in their diet. They might've had beer too, who knows, but I'm sure it was a low calorie beer like Amstel Light. The point isn't what beer they had or even what tuna or grilled chicken they had, it's the kind of eggs they've had, and that's egg whites. Now whether trashing the yolk is a waste or not, I won't disagree with you or was I arguing anything about the yolk being bad for you in the first place. I'm just stating that the kind of eggs (not beer) these people have had have been egg whites and that's all there is to it.

i really doubt that

I'm not saying the only reason those people who do well do well is because of egg whites.

But one of the reasons? What i'm trying to say is the kind of eggs your eating is such a small piece of the puzzle that it isn't significant enough to have an impact on someones success

I agree that they are consistent, get the correct calorie intake, etc.

This category is why there successful

But if you look at the eggs on their diet it's not scrambled eggs, it's egg whites. Egg whites are always the specific kind of eggs they're eating.

this is obviously not true

When I said avoid fat, I meant after a workout and I didn't mean entirely avoid it.

Well this is what u said so it was pretty misleading

Mate, these 'serious' guys who only have egg whites in their diets only choose egg whites BECAUSE of this damn whole egg myth that's been going around for ages. Probably not because there's any real truth to it.

This egg white thing has been preached for ages, and somewhere along the line, they started believing and following it too

Oh, and by the way, if you're not putting fat in your shakes, and they're made up from whey protein, chances are at some point you're wasting some protein because the fast breakdown which is typical of whey can result in some of it being converted to sugar.

But **** all this science ****, there are guys all over the place who just eat ****loads of food and all the stuff EFFORT said and also eat whole eggs and they're big and lean. Egg whites wouldn't really have helped things.
