AARRGGGHH!!!!
Okay...ran into her today. She's been home most nights, but as it was fairly unanimous NOT to knock on her door and such, I just kicked back.
It's been maybe 6 days or so since I saw her last...and FINALLY the opportunity to ask her out was upon me...
Except for one thing...
SHE WAS WITH THAT DUDE AGAIN!
I was waiting in the lobby for the elevator going up (she knew as I just came in with my dog), and she was going down. For whatever reason, the elevator opened on my floor, instead of passing by to the floor below (where she was going). So I see her with this dude, she looks at me and smiles and said they were going down. Normally I would have waited for it to come up the one floor, but she invited me in. So...I walk in and she immediatly smiles, says, "hi", and she starts telling me what she is doing today...
"going out shopping...again... (she went last Sunday as well)...THEN I'm going to come back home and have my Corn Beef and Hash!!" (she is playful and fun while saying this).
I smile and say..."coooooool"...and as her and I chat for the few seconds we are on the elevator, I'm TOTALLY ignoring this dude who she is with. He did not even enter into convo or say anything himself.
As she exits, I ask her what she she is going to buy me...she smiles and starts laughing. Then says, "bye".
I TOTALLY FROZE and COULD NOT GET ANYWHERE WITH HER, as I am NOT used to hitting up a chick when she has another guy around. There was also really was not time to hang and chat either.
I know the next time I see her (alone), I'm going to ask for a date anyway regardless (need the practice)...but feel REAALLLLY stupid here as I am trying to figure out who this dude is...
Am I over-reacting?
