Hi people - it's Interesting stuff. This is my first post, I am Don Juan virgin, so be gentle with me,,, !!
I agree with the balance stuff, espeically getting to addicted to the internet and forums. Hello - it's not real, that's why it's called cyberspace.
On personal level, I have been there, hooked on chat rooms, forums and the likes. Spent many hours in fornt of this very screen until one day, I stayed up all night just chatting to my cyber friends when it it dawned on me - Literally. The first shafts of light of new day streamed through the window at about 4.20 am. I had wasted ten hours talking utter rubbish to people I didn't really know and were unlikely to ever meet. This was a real wake up call for me.
Now I limit my myself to half hour a day hooked up to the net. This includes e-mails too. By the time I have had a look at the local news, whats on, the next day's weather and answered a couple of e-mails my time is up and I close my connection for another day.
I lived 38 years without e-mails, chatrooms and the internet and can quite easily survive without it again. I also turn off my cell phone in the evenings and weekends. Again I survived nearly 40 years without one, and only have one because work insists I have one. Another waste of time is the televison. I limit my viewing hours and only watch the news and a few films a week.
So what do I with all this free time I have created. Well, I have started on two new hobbies - writing and photography and now do it freelance, which means I have cut my hours down to three days a week at work to give me more free time to write and get out taking images.
My life is more in balance now. I seem to have loads of time to do what I enjoy - I have life. And on a plus side - my photography lead to local art gallery wanting to display my images in a display. Following a launch night party and exposue in the local newspapers I now have women seeking me out. They chase me - fantastic !! A few years ago, couldn't even get one to give me a second look, so I sort comfort from the internet and made friends with all the other millions of sad loosers like me on here looking for attention.
So, finish reading this, log out and get out and get a life. This is not real. The people are not real. Nothing can beat a real interaction with a real person - hot babe or not. Forget myspace, all the porn and friends re-united - start living, find a real woman, have real sex - cybersex sucks, badly !!
Life is a lottery and you don't know when your number is going to be called. It could be today, next week, in a few years or you could live to 99.
