It's true. Especially in high school where girls are worried about other people's opinions a bit more than their own. Even if the girl really really liked you but her friends don't approve, she'll try to convince herself that you aren't the one for her (or if she really really was into you she'll ditch her friends). On the other hand even if she wasn't really into you, but her friends absolutely love you, she'll convince herself to try and like you. Obviously you should aim to have her be attracted to you, but the power of bestfriends opinions is a powerful tool.
