As someone that is quite open-minded, passive and apathetic I think I may agree too much with girls on dates and it becomes friendly/nice guy scenario.

I was thinking of starting to use a ploy where I ask an opinion question on something light hearted and then purposefully disagree.

Something like Cats or Dogs, and then playfully but assertively state my preference for the other and tease her for thinking otherwise.

Just to come across more dominant and with a IDGAF what you think attitude. I've noticed girls in other relationships seem to respond well to being told they are wrong/put down etc.

I'll trial it and see how it goes.

Give her a choice. Be like want to eat at x or y. She chooses x then your like. Well too bad I like y better.

Yes, push-pull can be extremely effective.

Learn to pick things out from her and turn it around on her. Say it in a way that arouses doubt over whether or not you might be joking.

"That perfume you're wearing tonight - god it reminds me so much of what my ex stripper gf used to wear. Yeah, she said the clients loved it. I really did too. Glad you chose it. Nice weather tonight huh? I really like what you did with your hair today..."
