THIS THING CALLED RISK IS WHAT AFC'S ARE LACKING!!

What’s up fellas!!!

I haven’t read many post lately but the ones I’ve read are a little disturbing. “Will she like me?” or “What can I say to make her like me?” or the biggest one “I’m just too scared to go up and ask her.” (Sighs) I really cant get mad at you guys because I was the same way. In fact my first post I think when I first got here was “How do I ask for her number?”. There is really nothing I can say to convince you to change your AFC ways. YOU have to change. On the contrary, I can enlighten you on why you should change.

First of all, one of the main reasons why a guy cant go up to a girl is because he is taking a RISK! When you think about risk, it’s something we take every day. When you drive to school, there is a risk you could get in a car-accident and actually get hurt. The stock market is a big risk. In the casinos people take risk. Going to a party is taking a risk, actually when you think about almost every thing you do in life is taking a risk. Some are bigger risk than others but it still is a risk. If you look risk up in the dictionary, it defines it as: possibility of loss or injury. Hmm, Possibility of loss or injury. People don’t like the possibility of losing. You know why? BECAUSE THERE IS THAT CHANCE THEY COULD POSSIBILY LOSE!!!! Guys don’t be afraid to fail, because if you do, you are already a failure. You have to learn from you’re mistakes.

This might be a bad analogy but I compare this to my cousin. He was playing some video game and got to the last stage. He had to fight the boss who he never beat or played against before. He had one weapon left and we told him to wait before he used it. He decided to use it now and took a risk on losing. So what happened? HE LOSS! Man he was mad too. But guess what, a couple of weeks later he was back to where he was and this time he waited to use the weapon and he won the game. He learned from his mistake, yea he was disappointed for awhile but he didn’t quit and throw away the game. He just learned from his mistake and tried it again. Alright, this might be a bad comparison to life but you get the idea. “Mishaps are like knives, that either serve us or cut us, as we grasp them by the blade or the handle”.- JAMES RUSSELL LOWELL:

What is life without risk, or obstacles? I’m aware you also need confidence but that’s what a risk is. You’re taking a big chance on something and you can come out big or you can lose. What if Martin Luther King didn’t take risk or anybody who ever has made a difference in this country? So, what does this have to do with talking to girls? Everything!! Don’t be afraid to lose my brothas!! Just have a little courage and take the risk and be done with it. Whether she likes you or not at least that’s a problem you won’t have to worry about any more. Back in my AFC days, I was shy, timid, and underestimated myself. There were these group of girls who every day I would sit at the cafeteria. One day I just did it. I cant explain it or describe it. I didn’t do any special rituals or preparations, I just did it. What did I do, you ask? I walked over there and started talking to the girls. All three of them. I was so nervous and knew I could risk looking stupid but I really had nothing to lose because they probably thought I was a loser anyway. My palms were sweaty and my stomach in knots. But I did it. Turns out they were pretty cool and they told me they had a hard time getting boyfriends cause they were shy. After that day I changed tremendously. I started lifting weights, talking to girls, and the rest is history.

As I close guys just remember, the bigger the risk the bigger the reward!! There is no way to escape it either. Go big or go home.

Yeah, good post.. thogh i didnt read all of it, i skimmed over it, and i agree.. all these posts with these guys asking if they shoudl do this or do that... just grab your balls and do it!

Its no use being guided every step of the way, you wont learn.. go take risks, make mistakes... the more you make mistakes, the more you get dumped, the easier it will be in the future...

Brilliant post. I used to be the same way, but one day i was thinking about talking to this one girl and i told my buds about it and they were makin fun of me and say you wouldn't do it. That exact moment she walks by and i imediatly jump up and go talk to her. Ever since then i have had amazing confidence. Another thing that applies to this topic is the quotes in my signature. The first one means you need to just do it even if you're scared. The second one means that it doesn't matter if you win or lose, it only matter if you showed up and gave it your all. The last one means no matter how many different ways you try something and it doesn't work, there is always a way that will. You just haven't found it yet.
