I thought you said you were done posting here. That's what you said in your thread at least. Your threads were off topic. We don't need a bunch of threads whining about why Play Her Man was banned. We all know why he was. There was a thread for people to vent about it last week. He is gone. Get over it. Everything else is just attention wh0ring. Don't be like a chick.

It's kind of disturbing that grown men in their 20's 30's, 40's (one almost 50) are this obsessed over an anonymous Internet dude. You are a beta when you beg for a woman to come back. But what does that make you when you beg for another man to come back? :crackup:

The guy proved himself to be a beta by coming back on Valentine's Day night and posting sh1t to vice and the mods. The dude should have been out with all the women he claims to have instead.

If you miss this guy that much, go back and look at his old threads until your heart is content. If you guys don't like how this forum is run, then don't come here anymore. Take it up with the mods in private discussions instead of cluttering up the boards with this nonsense. Seems like only a handful of people are just looking to cause trouble with this situation.

Think of this forum as being a guest in someone's house. You are invited there, but you have to follow some decorum. I think the mods do an excellent job here keeping things in order. I've been on other forums when censorship prevails and is run with an iron fist. Basically we can say whatever we want here, as long as it's not harmful or degrading to other people. If you can't abide by those rules, then you shouldn't be posting. The only threads I see that get locked, are the off topic threads and the ones that don't add anything to the forum. not too many of those get locked either.

I've seen posters for months make useless attack threads and throwing out derogatory insults. They posted for a long time without any repercussion. After a while enough is enough. Play Her Man posted here for a long time. He had a long time to clean up his act but he refused. He isn't above everybody in this forum and has to comply to all the rules that we follow.

It gets tiresome reading someone throwing out derogatory insults in every thread, attacking all women etc. If that's the kind of element you like, then look for another place to vent your hate. This site is all about getting better with women and helping men who ask for advice. I'm glad the mods are trying to make that way, instead of this other garbage going on.

The mods were dictating what we could talk about. And telling us how to react to it.

This a forum to discuss women, not some random internet dude. Lame off topic threads will get locked. That is posted in the rules. Why is that so difficult for you to understand?

Either way, I saw an opportunity, since one of the mods seemed like he was actually going to have a discussion about some of the concerns that have been brought up about the direction the forum is heading in.

I think many on this forum would like this forum to go back to what it used to be. Getting rid of guys like PHM is a step towards that cause, getting this forum back in the right direction. I for one think backbreaker hit the nail on the head.

This website is about getting better with women. Its for men who enjoy the company of women. But over the years this place has been twisted into a whiny place for men to complain about how crappy women are. Sure that stuff can be part of what we speak of here, but it shouldnt be the main thing.

All that MGTOW and typical manosphere mantra can be spoken of elsewhere. This place should be about how to properly have good dating experiences with women. And Im all for the Admin/Owner cleaning this place up.

As Vice was saying, we need more focus on self-improvement and field reports.

We are men, but the vast majority of the guys throwing around insults on this forum wouldnt dare speak that way to another man in person. Especially not if he wants to be taken seriously in a discussion or avoid getting taken down a peg physically.

If you're referring to recent threads that have been closed, it's because there are multiples of the same topic, and they were degenerating into flaming. Multiple lay reports or advice threads are one thing, but multiple "why was so-and-so banned" threads are just redundant, childish, and problematic.

As to other Mod's thread closures, I don't review them personally. Feel free to PM them for their reasoning. Generally it's some variation of the posted rules---flames, slurs, blatant trolling, etc. Keep in mind however that "trolling" can be subjective, and what one member finds to be trolling may not be the same to a mod. It's our job to decide; that's why we are mods. Also keep in mind we don't "owe" anybody a detailed explanation of our actions. It's a courtesy, yes, but not our job. SoSuave is not a democracy, it is a privately owned forum with appointed mods. We can please some people all the time, but we can't please all the people all of the time.

I think the real question here that everybody wants answered (well, maybe just me) is why are certain people appointed moderators? In particular, bradd80. I think many posters had a problem with him after he got a little power. I can disagree with anyone, but when you're suddenly a moderator then abuse that power, it rubs your posters the wrong way. And when you lose posters, you lose your site. I think that's all people really mean by all this uproar.

I've noticed that Colossus and Vice are both moderators now, and didn't use to be. That's all good, I don't really care as long as they are fair. I didn't know Vice, but I knew Colossus, and he's as good of a moderator as any I guess. But maybe a little more transparency would help, not hurt. Maybe a post that says, "So and so are now moderators, this is why...."

Of course, you don't have to do anything. Nobody would care if the mods didn't abuse power (I personally have only seen bradd80 do this, I have no clue about the others). Just my suggestions.
