Ha... Well, I'm 26 and have just over 500 friends. I know all but about 6 in person, and 2 of those 6 are from the forum here. Roughly 180 of those are from my high school, 200 from college, and the rest are just people I have met going out, or family members.

Since leaving college, I really don't add people until they add me. And I no longer add girls that I am trying to get with. If they want to find out more about me, they need to spend time with me face-to-face. Facebook is for my friends and family.

I have an ex girlfriend on there who is the definition of an attention wh0re. She once made a status that said something along the lines of "Do not waste your time on those who do not mean anything to you. Surround yourself with only those close to you." I thought it was a decent quote, until I saw she has 2,400 Facebook friends

I'm 24 years old. Pretty soon I'll be coming up on my One Year Anniversary being without Facebook.

The reason I deleted my facebook account, I thought that females I met in REAL LIFE were going on my facebook page and getting information on me to disqualify me as a dateable guy. But I guess that theory of mine was wrong because I'm still getting "dumped" left and right.

Even a few superfical females I've came across have shamed me for not having a facebook page...

Can you please elaborate in nauseating detail about how they shame you?

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

Yeah this facebook thing has a few good things and lots of bad shiit.

I have had facebook for a few years and I met a few girls and banged like 2 chicks I randomly added as a friend. But it was back when I could search women on my area (MIAMI) that i would throw game at them... But they quickly changed facebook and you cant search people in your area no more its fvcked up...
If I could get rid of fb, I would, but its good for keeping some contacts you otherwise lose so im stuck with it...
I now have my fb with no wall, very few pictures of me and i have like 300 friends most of them (90%) I have met.

It is a lot of attention whoring, but valuable for me. I live a fun life, people get to see that and want to hang out because of it. Plus it makes it easy to get groups out for an event. It really is pretty nasty to see how guys drool all over girls on their though.....like giant vaginas

See I've learned a lot already. I always thought it was more for those out of school who could post pics of their families and kids and stay in touch with old friends. Then I'm overhearing this stuff where you can tell girls are using it to keep in touch with guys they met at a bar the previous weekend and it raised an eyebrow. Thanks for enlightening me guys.

I had to laugh about some of the posts where people have 100's of friends. Seems odd to me but what do I know? Yeah I think it sounds like girls trying to accumulate guy friends and then sift through them for possible dates. Its another tool for women to gain attention.

Recently I saw a girl I hadn't seen in a while and one of the 1st questions she had was "you're not on Facebook are you? I looked for you". Right then and there I thought I might be blowing opportunities by not having an account.

There's really no reason not to have one Ozz. As you can see there are reasons to have one though.(Missing some easy tang opportunitys)

You don't HAVE to go on there, don't HAVE to be friends w/ attention *****s etc.(Although about 60-70%ish of girls on there are)

Can just use it at your on conveinence and troll for some tang.

One thing I've noticed. If a girl(attractive one of course) adds you out of the blue.(you don't know her) Send her a message because she thinks your hot and is trolling for d1ck probably.

That's how I met my last GF. She just randomly added me, I was like damn this girls hot. Gave her a comment first(she made an update about Call of Duty so was an easy in). She commented back. I sent her a message saying we should hang out, bam. That easy.
