I'll stick with the well-engineered safety belt, airbags & crush zones of my quadruped vehicle. The human body is ill-evolved to survive rolling around at 60 mph.
Racing IMO is safer, everyone's going in the same direction. However, being on the street is extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity. Riding in rush hour traffic when 90% of drivers are running late is not fun or safe. I think if you worry about what "could" happen then nothing happens in your life accept mowing the lawn.

Some situations are better for bikes, no/less traffic, country roads, open highways, Sunday rides. I've heard you do not need a therapist if you ride, a long ride will have the answer to your questions.

What about any of these? These are the only used, dual-sport motorcycles I can find near me that are notably cheaper than the new Kawa/Suz that I was looking at. The BMW seems oddly cheap.
