There's so much to remember!

Hey guys... I've lurked over these boards for a while, didn't join till just now. I feel like I've read and read and read most of the DJ bible and so many of these posts so much that my head's swimming with TOO MUCH info. I need to strip back to basics and figure out what my core changes need to be first.

What are the first few baby steps I take? What do I keep in mind? I need to separate the advanced tactics from the basics. I want to make the change to DJ for good, but I want to make sure I don't jump in too deep to start with. Any advice as to a few of the most basic tenets to keep in mind constantly?

i think the general consensus is that you don't NEED to know every lil trick in the book. Adapt it into you're own "style"

look under any post that deals with BEING A MAN (that's all you really need to know):

You'll realize that once you get to that point *and its easy, you are a man, right?* all the techniques and all the bull**** (the three C's for example) are products of being a DJ who is happy with himself and knws what he wants.

Be yourself, be confident and don't be afraid.

Get out there and start talking to chicks.

Do the Boot Camp if you need to start from square one. I.e. making eye contact with strangers etc.

If you can already cold approach, start trying different openers and techniques and find what does and doesn't work.

Most importantly, get field experience. Relax and have fun doing it. Quit reading for a while and start applying.
