There's a girl at work who i hardly see, wanna ask her out. couple probs though

I'm 17, work at a supermarket and there's this girl there that i REALLY like. First time i met her i was asked to show her how to stack stuff properly so i got to speak to her for a couple of minutes so she told me a bit about herself. she told me that she goes to a private school(she told me the actual school but i wont mention it), she's 15-16(not too sure now), in year 10 and i didnt find out much else.
that was about 4 months ago. i see her every now and then when i go in to work to check my shifts. i never have any shifts with her and i cant get any. Whenever i walk in she smiles and says hello. although i know now many of the hints to look for when a girl is attracted to you, i didnt know at the time.

and now she could just be smiling and saying 'hi' to be polite. im not sure what to do and i want to ask her out, but i dont want to blow it. im not even sure if she knows my name anymore. ive been obsessing over this girl for AGES now and i have to do something, but what??? please help me out.
