Theoretical question

I'm trying to plan a few things out in my head at the moment so here it is:

If you go on an action date for the first date, does the second date therefore have to be an action date, too? I don't think a dinner date would be good for a second date. Movies in general are kinda lame early on. Moreover, a coffee date after you've already had one action date might be kind of a let-down for the girl.

Theoretically, it seems like the ideal sequence should be...

Coffee (or ice cream) date ---> Action date ---> Dinner ---> Movie

or

Action ---> Action ---> Dinner ---> Whatever


But anyway, if you do one action date, it seems to me like you're obligated to do another one. And action dates are kinda hard to think up, imo.

I'd perfer action dates. But, if you take her some place fun and interesting and mix up the themes. it shouldn't really matter whether you do 3 action dates then, a dinner date in a chronological order.

well, what are some good examples of action dates?

the only three i can think of off the top of my head are miniature golf, going to the park, and bowling

and I guess going to bars could be an action date if you go to more than one. But that can get kinda pricey...and might lead to horishness and excess early sensuality.

I'm a dork when it comes to action dates and being original.

I once took a girl to the shooting range. We shot glock 9mm's. She had a blast. It was her first time shooting, so i got to stand behind her and help her aim.

I've also been a dork and gone golf cart racing. This place also had an arcade so we ended up playing shoot em up and race car games. There was also this one booth that would take a picture of you and her, then morph it together so you can see what your kid would look like. She got all mushy over that crap.

On a day that I was broke, I bought a kite, and made some ham/cheese sandwiches and took her to the park. It was goofy but she loved it.

Go karts are a great action date. Plus, most of the Go kart places have other things to do as well, such as an arcade.

I definitely agree with you. If you're going to start things off with an action date, continue on with another action date.

You guys are over thinking the dating thing, the best dates are spontaneous ones, meet her for coffee then grab her hand and take her anywhere you want, a quiet beach is always welcome.

Don't waste time and effort coming up with ideas and just be spontaneous.

I missed the whole point. Action dates are always good first dates. Now, this is just me, but I usually follow up with something where we end up back at my place. Most girls try to go for that 3 date rule, but I try to break it by #2.

I'll throw something out there like:

Me: Lets make it a blockbuster night
Her: Blockbuster night?
Me: Yeah.. we can go pick up a movie from blockbuster then stop at cold stone and pick up some ice cream on our way back home.

For some strange reason, they usually agree when i throw in the ice cream. I've even tricked girls into coming over to my place. (i know it sounds bad and in a way it is).

Me: Let's get together for dinner
Her: Where do you wanna go
Me: To be honest, I'm not really sure. I'm sure we can figure something out though.
Her: Alright
Me: Cool... meet me at my place at 8

Resident parking in underground so I made up an excuse that I left my keys in the house. She had to follow me in, and once she got in my place, she saw that dinner was already made. My specialty is chicken parmasan (sp?) Really easy to make and looks like you spent forever. I pretended to still be cooking even though the food was already made. I served her chocolate covered strawberries and spumante champagne (sweet and cheap) while she waited.

Anyway, not sure if it was the alcohol or what, but the panties were coming off as we were eating.

probably, unless you've gone out with her about 3 or more times already. A 20-minute car ride can be a good chance to talk, but any more than that is stretching it, imo

My kind of "action " dates - have her clean and/or paint the house, cook for me, wash my clothes, run to the store and get me a 12 pack of Milwaukee's Best beer and then run back to my house and pour me a cold one... etc..

Hahahaha, I don't think you realized what you just said. You want to ride in your car for one hour and a half roundtrip, to go ride a little small car for 3 minutes in a circle? Hahahaha, that shyt was too funny!!

When I go Go-Karting I always get kicked out - in my enthusiasm and the relative safety of a go-kart, my personality changes and I want to ram into everyone and run 'em off the road!! I'm a Go-Kart road demon!!
