I believe this wholeheartedly.

I never told anyone this, but this is the reason why I feel like I need to find a relationship now. I've reached many of my goals in life. But I never had a female love me and I loved her. I think this is a BIG part of being a man. Having a woman. A woman doesn't complete a man, but having a female love you is a GREAT feeling. Sadly, I didn't even have high school "love".

Anyway, after hearing about another earthquake and tsunami...my beliefs on the end of this world has only been made stronger.

The end of the world in 22th, December, 2012 is so reliable as the end of the world in 31th, December 1999/1st, January, 2000.

And why is this? Because Mesoamerican Long Count Calendar ends on that day... I respect everybody´s beliefs but...please...! Give me a break...! Guys, Mesoamerican cultures existed from about 2000 BC until Spanish colonization in the 15th and 16th century! They were complex and advanced cultures, but not that advanced...

One should listen more to science...! If we do not kill each other and you can overcome climate problems and other problems in the future, we´ll have more 0.5 billion to 1 billion years of lifespan (however an asteroid impact may occur also, during this long period). At that time the Sun will simply destroy Earth´s Biosphere. 5 billion years from now our Sun will star Red-Giant phase. Mercury, Venus (and Earth, probably) will be swallowed with that phase evolution.

So, 0.5 billion to 1 billion years from now, we´ll have to make of two choices: - die here, or sail to other worlds. I´m pretty sure that at that time our Science knowledge and Technology advances will allow us to do that.

Agreed. 2012 doomsday crap is all just made-up. The good news is that the world is not going to end, but the bad news is we are all facing another mass extinction that will wipe us all out.

It's happened before in the eath's history, and it's happening now. Due to global warming, methane hydrates are being released from the sea floor. It's a snowball effect, the more get released, the more global warming, so even more get released. There's enough there to kill all oxygen producing life on the planet. The process has already started and we can not stop it.

It's not even a theory anymore, it's a fact. The only thing left to debate, is how long it's going to take.

As of now, there's no way to stop it. Humanity has jumped out of a plane with no parachute. So, until we find a way to reverse global warming...ie, find a parachute.

No point in worrying about it, just enjoy your life. I think we won't see the end in our lifetimes, personally.
