im 5 foot 5 and i have no problem attracting taller girls im not gonna lie some girls wont give me chance and would rather be friends because of my height but ive been told many times how hot and goodlooking i am and that these girls want to meet me.I remember back in highschool there was this hb9 who was 5'11 or 6'0 tall who was really crazy about me and kept telling her friends how hot i was that was a year ago and my older brother is also 5'5 hes handsome and i always see him bringing home hb7s and hb8s taller 3 or more inches taller and he has a boyish face,he looks 17 and hes really 25 so i thought that he would have things harder but nope i was wrong.
so you see if your short but goodlooking then that shouldnt be bothering you but if your short and ugly, then your *****.anyways would i like to be 6'0? yes

I've read these posts and i agree with some of what each point of view has maintained. I'm 5'7 and anyone who doesn't beleive that height plays a significant role in determining one's attractiveness to women either a, isn't short, or b just moved here from neptune. I've been told on multiple occasions that if i was taller i would be a lot more attractive. However, any guy who is taller than 5'4 who thinks that he cannot be successful with women is suffering from a severe case of what i call simpitis. Its one of those things that you just have to step your game up to overcome. I liken it to being a walk on in the nfl. Sure, you've got some hurdles to overcome but with persistance and upping your game i.e. looks/attitude you can be a star. As far as success in general is concerned, being successful is about having a tall spirit and that fellas, is not genetic.

Most of you guys are tall enough and I don't see why being 5 ft 8 or thereabouts would be any problem.

I'm 5 ft 5 and in a club it definitely poses a problem. I'm not bad looking, which helps, but women seem to go for height even if the guy isn't that good looking. I can dance well but, still, I've really noticed that height gives it that added, superficial advantage you need in a club.

I find it easier to attract women after having built up some kinda rapport with them; like at a house party, work, sports club or something. It does come down to personality and confidence, like previously mentioned by others. I think if you can show the real you, then height doesn't become the "main issue" and she will concentrate on other factors. By the "real you", I mean the DJ qualities: confidence, charisma, courage, takes charge, humour, lifestyle etc etc. But all this takes "TIME" to show, which is the annoying part - it pays off though Also, I think the girls that I meet haven't dated someone as short before so maybe they find it interesting. I dunno...

But a major part of me would like to meet more women by not having to "say as much" or "do as much" to get them interested in me. I have a loud personality naturally, but still I'm consious that I have to make more effort than taller guys. In a club I find it gets me really frustrated though...

they all are under average height, so what?! when u see them u don't even notice... i always thought they all were around 6'0", except for james dean, stallone and de niro who i thought were about 6'3"...

i don't think it's the video that makes them look alpha and tall... why? think about beta males (at least on video) like ben stiller, al pacino, dustin hoffman and spike lee... they don't look as, but they are almost the same height of those above...

this is the demonstration that height doesn't matter a lot in lookin' alpha...

it depends what race you are and what type of women you date

Yep, not Korean-Americans or Koreans in the West, but Korean-Koreans.


And overall, Asian-American kids average around 5'8" to 5'9" or so. I'd say that's the average, not "taller than average". For Asian-American kids (18-24 yo), I'd say "taller than average" is about 5'10" to 6 feet even.

what if your southeast asian? like Vietnamese, Thai, Hmong, Filipino, etc.

southeast asians are usually small in stature but Ive seen a few that were close to 6 ft tall

Look, women would prefer to be with a guy who was tall, rich, extremely well-built, polite, funny, sweet, with a perfect face, a perfect smile, perfectly cut hair, the best clothes you can buy, a rolex, five mansions and fifteen luxury cars. He also loves children and cats, can and will do every possible task around the house including cleaning, cooking, and sewing, plus he is an expert lover who always gives his woman at least 5 orgasms with little concern for himself. Now let's go back to reality and let me assure you that my previous paragraph is bullsh*t.

Everyone has preferences and things they would like in a mate, but those are mostly "nice to haves" not "requirements." You are the one pricing yourself out of the market by thinking of your height as such a limitation.

In my case I'm 5'8 and only once has height been mentioned when I was with a girl. In that case it was a blind date and she was a bit taller than me (a volleyball player) and she said she only liked taller guys because shorter guys tended to be insecure about the height thing. In my case it didn't matter though. Of course I didn't like her so we never dated again.

I will admit that I prefer shorter girls because I think they are more feminine. Luckily there aren't really that many women taller than me (at least without heels), so I don't see it as a problem. But if a really hot taller girl had a lot going for her I certainly wouldn't say no

David Faustino from Married With Children was 5'3 and he did OK
