Greetings to all:

I've come to the recent conclusion that women almost never date a man their height or shorter.

This seems obvious, but I remind myself that most of the girls I found attractive in the past where taller than myself, and this could be a natural barrier.

How many of you are 5 foot 8 (173 cm) or under?
Is height a prerequisite for success?

I'm starting to think it is.......

What I find amusing is that often I see very short women with very tall men, as if they where trying to compensate and feel secure.

Hence, where can the "less tall" man turn to, that is the question.....

If you are 5'8" and have a good personality and are fun to be with then you've got more going for you than a couple of extra inches.

The Italian prime minister is 5 foot 5, and uses special high heeled shoes during meetings with other heads of state, as he is the shortest G7 representative.

Reinforced heel shoes, is that the way?

hehehe....:D

Heh heh, Burlusconi cracks me up, but I think a DJ needs to be comfortable in his own skin and not rely on props to 'boost' his self confidence, so to speak.

I know one thing, I'd rather be shorter than have a squeeky voice.

Yes I'm 5'8", but you damn sure won't here me whining about it. I accepted myself for who I am, and that's when I started pulling hoes.

this might crush some of the 5'8 guys..
lol :)

i'm 6 ft. and i still feel like i'm short (don't get me wrong, i've never in my life thought "i'm too short for her!") but i would really love an extra couple of inches...
THERE AGAIN! it can be uncomfortable for me kissing a shorter girl, so i don't know how someone 6'2 would go with that...

I think that's baloney. I know a ton of guys who aren't very tall and they do extremely well with women.

I'm 6'1, so height has never really been an issue with me. But I have noticed that the only guys who ever think it's a hinderance are the ones who are insecure about their stature.

I was out with a buddy of mine who'd be considered short, and we were approaching some girls and having a good time. Then, when my buddy went to the bathroom, I noticed the girl he was hitting on motion to her friend that he was too short. So I asked her "Oh, do you not like short guys?" And she said no, she liked tall guys.

But when my buddy came back, he started joking with her and teasing her, and at the end of the night, they went home together and he banged the crap out of her.

The moral? I guess it's that your shortcomings are only an issue to you. Just because girls prefer tall guys doesn't mean you have no chance with them.

Ok,

but all others factors being equal, the taller man will edge out the shorter one, who starts off with the odds skewed against him-

Sidenote, how tall is Tom Cruise?
I also heard that Mark Wahlberg isn't gigantic...

rediculous.
how many factors are there involved in that?

take identical twins, with identical personalites.
but one is 5'8 and the other is 6'2. probably the guy with height will win..
take 2 guys, one 5'8 and the other 6'2. they both have there imperfections. they have different personalities. who will win? line ball.

i've got a 5'7 friend who is an absolute dynamo with women.

I don't doubt we'd all like to be in the tall bracket.

I'm not.

My last 2 girls were a little shorter than me.

My ex is really hot. My current chick is about an 8.

In heel's she is taller than I am.

She jokes about it to me when we go out....

It doesn't bother me one bit... In fact, I often joke to her, that she had better not wear her high heels....

Bottom line it all comes back to confidence.

If your confident it doesn't matter. Sure there will be girls who will look past you because of height but I can gurantee that these girls also have other Pre-requisites.

Confidence guys.

Tom Cruise and Marky-Mark are midgets.

All factors being equal, if you think that a tall guy has an edge over a short guy in the women department, you've got a serious limiting belief in that noggin' of yours.

Why are you too short? Why isn't she too tall? You're letting the woman dictate what's acceptable in the interaction and you're taking yourself out of the game.

Take NewMan's advice. Turn the tables on the girl. Have some faith in yourself.

Dude,

I never had a problem with it, but it just narrows your possible love interests

I mean, honestly, what if mini-me went to the club and acted all Alpha-male, would he score chicks?

I have the impression that most women I see are my height or taller, and it's strange.

BTW, the fact that you said "midgets" shows the general attitude toward shorter men in my opinion (BTW, 5 foot seven is midget size?

At 6'5", I get noticed by the girls.

But, if you don't have a good personality, height means ****.

Its just a added bonus.

Man, what a fvcking whine-fest. I'm 5'9", and yes, I realize that it's a limitation. But at this point it really doesn't bother me - I try to work past it by having a personality and being aggressive and manly. I've got a ways to go, but I like the progress I've been making.

Mark Wahlberg is 5'7" - but he was even an underwear model for Calvin Klein.

Tom Cruise is 5'6"-5'7" and he has been molded and marketed into a Hollywood megastar.

Without their force of personality they would never have gotten the recognition that taller men witih equal look might have gotten.

Just be glad that you're not a facially ugly women. That have it the WORST. The only way out for them is either a bullet to their temple or plastic surgery.

Considering women have a strange attraction to midgets, he'd probably get a lot of attention. But you're talking about an extreme case there. You aren't three feet tall, are you?

BTW, the fact that you said "midgets" shows the general attitude toward shorter men in my opinion (BTW, 5 foot seven is midget size?

It was meant as a joke. Fact is, those two actors are much shorter in real life than they seem on screen, and they're considered sex symbols.

Next time you're out, look around and notice how many short guys are with hot chicks. You'll see how dumb this belief of yours is.

Actually,

There is scientific data that points in the foretold direction.

This is not a "belief" of mine, and does not hinder me in any way, it was just an observation which does have validity.
