I'm asking this question in order to stimulate discussion.

Have you ever looked at a hot girl and thought of what she would look like if she were a guy? I'm speaking from the neck up in order to remove a shapely figure from the equation. I recently had a super-hot girlfriend who I had to dump (BPD), and I noticed that if she were male (no makeup, man's haircut), she would look extremely average if not below average. Yet as a woman she was hot.

This morning I was looking at photos of girls who contacted me on some dating sites. With each one I did the same thing... imagined what they would look like as men. Again, they looked very average or even geeky.

It can't be denied that from the neck up, the magic's in the makeup. My point is that most women can buy their looks at CVS. There is a template of femininity, and all they have to do is conform to the TEMPLATE, and voila! Intant attractiveness.

So my question to you guys is this:

What is the male analog to female cosmetics? What is our template? What is it that, if we mold ourselves to it, will universally cause women to respond with attraction? Is there a corresponding template for men that will automatically stir up those feelings in women, similar to how makeup automatically enhances female femininity?

What are the equivalent male "cosmetics"? It should be obvious that I'm not talking about putting something on our faces. I'm talking about whatever we might do, wear, say, or be that has the same effect on them as cosmetics do on us.

It's about being the best self you can be AtomSmasher. Look your best, have the best material things you can afford that reflect your higher-than-normal status, have a balance in your life, be a leader in most things in your life, have choices and not take crap form anyone, and have all your stuff together with a good head on your shoulders.

That's it in my opinion if you want an emotionally, psychologically and physically normal woman.

While ours can't be bought, I think our template is presentation, body language, attitude and a devilish smile.

I think this is why most people struggle with attraction (me included!) - there is no hard and fast one thing that will make us attractive to women like the way they can just buy makeup.

I'd rather just go to CVS for 10 minutes! ;)

But seriously, good stuff. Keep it coming.

Just a reminder... I'm asking this not because I'm in the dark about these issues. I'm trying to stimulate discussion in the interest of defining that which we need to be implementing, and to have it all in one place here so men new to the community can reference it easily.

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.

Thanks a lot, fella! This just reminded me of a time my brother and I went to a CVS to buy nail polish to mark our toolboxes (we had identical ones) and he dared me to act gay. I went up to the cute girl at the counter and said in a flamingly gay voice and body language "Heeey...where um..do you have the nail polish?" She smiled and told me where it was and when we came up to pay I was back to DJ Robyn and she literally cracked up and said laughing & smiling "wow! that was amazing. I actually thought you were gay" I proceeded to explain and I got lots of attention and IOI's ,but it was a Sunday family day and I had better things to do with my folks =]

Back to the point:

Women are like computers. There's always a better one than the one you have. Ever seen how Macintosh computers update? They go in order of numbers from the biggest to the smallest changes. For example: Mac OSX 9.2.3 is a software in the past, yet 10.6.7 is much more updated. The 10 stands for the big updates that revolutionize the device, the 6 stands for updates tat make your computer work more efficiently & correct past issues, and the 7 stands for the small updates that make a difference, but aren't amazingly noticeable. I use this idea and update myself just like these computers--except I do it constantly. I'm currently Robyn OS 3.1.1.

I was an AFC at 0.0.0 , I made it to 1.0.0 when I started getting into this stuff, I became a 2.0.0 when I stopped being nice & got my first LTR that lasted 2.5 years and today, I'm proud to say I"m 3.1.1 after the break-up of my LTR and being able to be happy on my own without being dependent on women; I'm much more approachable & able to talk to most people in addition to being a hurricane with approach anxiety and tossed most of it away. I had a good rejection yesterday in which a girl basically told me I had my game together and that she's positive other hb's will be interested in me. It all adds up. Here;s the conversation if you're curious:http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showpost.php?p=1792858&postcount=180

How are YOU becoming a better version of you?

PS: I was singing this country song I really like at a red light in my car the other day with the windows down when a car with two hb8's stopped on my right. I was singing this song exactly from 3:47 to 4:01 which was almost just my voice (karaoke music): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQ3bn7V0zdU

As I sang, one of the girls goes "Youuu have the voice of an angel! =] " Both smiled wide until the light turned green; I just froze, haha (I know..I know..but this was a first for me). Listen to that song from beginning to end, it'll bring back memories from your past and let you see how you're a much better person today!

Ewww , I hate macs , but i get what your saying , i also think this thread isn't finding the male version of make up , i mean make up doesn't make women any better they just appear better , I think ther best way to do this could just to have a girl as a friend and go shopping with her , let here tell you what clothes look good on you , you may be surprised at some things you would never consider. once when i was at high school we had spirit week so i wore a black ac/dc hat I stoped by these two girls that i knew and talked for a bit (neither of them were attractive) later that day on the bus ride home , one of the girls told me that her friend thought i was really sexy in the hat , and that I even turned her friend on while I was talking to them (this girl was def not the kind I would ever imagine being turned on at all , less much by my clothing) needless to day I wore my hat much more often

Canada, eh?
I would say this: hair, facial hair, scars, tattoos, good set of teeth. Scars can't really be bought. I stress tattoos in particular because on a rugged body they do look good and give you an edge. I have two myself.

From New Orleans, Louisiana to Atlanta, Georgia!!!
If you're looking to go to CVS, you won't get a quick fix. Try Wal-Mart.

I love Macs. You'll never get a virus. They're pricey as hell, but I love my ipod!

The quick fix is a mix of Armani, Bentley, Rolex, (Continue your own list of high end male fashion). Another quick fix I know that guys get is plastic surgery. Lipo, Ab etching, bicep implants, etc.

AFAIC if there was a quick, affordable fix for guys to instantly attract women, we'd all be doing that sh*t right now and sites like this wouldn't exist anymore. It's cool and all to buy clothes that make you look fly, but that and confidence, personality, and game won't make you look any better when your shirt comes off. Keep all of this positive and if your body ain't right, turn out the lights.

I've noticed these days that women live in the now. One time I kept it real as I was (and still am) a working man trying to come up. She had respect for that but got wet for this ugly guy who had a CL Mercedes and a suit! She saw a working man who made it, and tossed me aside like a smelly gym sock. Crazy.
