Nocturnal and Anson, Dragon is only suggesting songs that exemplify the DJ mindset. Now there are some VERY good AFC songs out there with a nice melody, and some well-sung, well thought out emotional lyrics. One AFC song I can recall right off hand that I really enjoy is "Invisible Man"

Hell, my favorite band Face to Face puts out some totally AFC songs, but I can still enjoy and appreciate them. But right before I go out to meet chicks, it's more beneficial for me to listen to lyrics that promote the mindset I want to have mindset.

Dragon isn't trying to set up a communist regime around here where all DJ's have to listen to certain music. Just go with the flow, man. You don't have to listen to any of it, and neither does anybody else.

@Dragon: I know most of the songs you mentioned, I listen to quite a lot of music. I even like some of them. But that is not my point. My point is...

The Songs All Dj's Should be listening to,No Afc's PLS
There are no songs what "all DJ's should be listening to". Period.

And what is all that "I stopped listening to AFC music because they will brainwash you" crap? That's the biggest crap I've ever heard! Do you also stop living in the society because the society is led by feminazis?

If you don't know yourself and your limits enough to listen all kind of music and do all kind of things without ever having fear of getting brainwashed, then you really have much to learn.

Knowledge is power what i am trying to say is that, by realizing what it is doing to you, you can filter its effect just by knowing alone, or stop listening to them,

when you watch cnn wtf do you think it is doin to you its biest, and usally one sided opinion, i still watch cnn,

i just choose what to input into my mind and not what it input,

i probly could ahve chosen a better title, but except for my weak title , your argument is weak

Re: Re: Re: The Songs All Dj's Should be listening to,No Afc's PLS

[i recommend these songs though,

my mian idea is you should block out afc style songs,

why would you listen to somthing you don't belive it??

unless your a afc , go agead listen to your pityful slow songz

~sona~ [/B][/QUOTE]

DraGon_luv the songs you posted I own 95% of them and I love them.

But I also love r&B and pop music does this make me an AFC hell no.

If I am about to go on a date and I am tired I will put on some of that stuff you have listed.

But if I am going to get some azz I will throw on some pop music or aka AFC music.

For me it just depends on what type of mood your in.

For some reason at night when I am at my house I can not stand rap and some r&b. I only can listen to pop or rock?

To sum it up I don't think DraGon_luv is saying your not a DJ if you don't listen to the music he posted. I think he should have said this is some good music that will put you in a dj mindset.

I think that everybody just needs to chill out. The guy who started this thread should not have said "the songs all djs should be listening to." For gods sake you don't HAVE to take everything at face value; he just means "these are the songs that promote the dj mindset preached in the bible." It is ok to do alittle of interpretation, the guy might have just been excited. Oh yeah, all you "musicans", cool your jets, music is music, not life; everybody likes there own kind of stuff, lay off; if you let other people influence you so much maybe you should get a backbone, you define a dj to yourself, not someone elses way, if there songs don't fit with you WHO CARES the songs ARE SONGS OTHER PEOPLE LIKE. Personally I like faster stuff usally with a good beat, but I will listen to anything if it makes me feel something.

Since this is a thread about songs, I figure I should post one: A Little Less Conversation Elvis(I think), which I believe is a "dj" song because listening to it gives me energy, and the title and lyrics encourges ACTION, a trait much talked about in the bible.

They seem to be only recommendations. Don't give us that musician crap either. Everyone is a musician!! All you need to be able to do is whistle or tap your foot.

To everyone who says these are only suggestions:

Tell me, dragon, why did you title your post "Songs All Dj's Should be listening to" if you only meant them to be suggestions? Of course, you can tell us what you MEANT but that won't change the fact that a new guy might have read this and thought "I need to listen to all these songs even though I hate rap."

my mian idea is you should block out afc style songs,

why would you listen to somthing you don't belive it??
Why would anyone watch science fiction? Why would anyone watch/read/listen to fiction at all!!

You say your main idea IS to "block out afc style songs." Why? They're going to go to your brain and tell you "you have to do this!" even if you know for a fact that logically it is wrong?

This is like how adults tell parents "Don't let your kids watch violence" or "Sex and violence is getting worse and worse and it will turn your kids into bad people"

Well guess what, they're wrong. Crime rates haven't gone up in the past 30 years more than a few percent at the most.

If you know something is wrong, you can supress the "AFC effects it will have on you"

it would be a lot better if you could explain why.
