I havent been on here in months because i've been so busy with work...
But for those of you who have some confidence issues, just realize that it all comes down to social skills--that is, you are comfortable talking to people. You really do need to get off of this site if your spending too much time here because it WILL NOT remedy your situation, neither will hypnosis, NLP, or any other article or e-book you might buy because confidence comes simply from having social skills and being comfortable dealing with people, and everything else is superficial to that one core thing.

Those of you suffering from confidence must GET A JOB. Try working at a register and dealing with people for 8 hours a day--and its funny, because people will approach YOU to talk with them because they have to! You will notice that in some situations you will be able to easily start conversations with people just because that is the kind of person that you are. I'm pretty sure some people will b1tch and disagree with me but I really don't care because I have a girlfriend now and I'm happy with my life--just realize that you must get socialized in one way or another, and if you dont like working at a register, fine, find something else where you deal with people.

Thats all I have to say.

I'd agree that social skills are very important to confidence, and that working a customer service job can really help you lose any fear of approaching and talking to strangers.

BUT

I'd say that self-acceptance is the KEY to confidence. Knowing who you are and being truly proud of your strengths, and accepting your weaknesses (and changing your weaknesses when you can) are what makes you strong on the inside.

I'm carefree... I'm comfortable with myself, and selfish to a degree...

Simply means I go for what I want, get it on a large percentage of occasions, and don't really give a fvck if I don't............

Dude's are turning into chicks analysing this and that and being all concerned about the trivial things
