Master Don Juan
I mean I've known some really rich people before, but usually they were from my father. Other times it was because I was friends with their kids or something. I've seen many people, from the lowest of the low to the best of the best and have befriended all of them. I've known people who were rich because all they know how to do is study and I know (knew) people who were rich because they were great criminals.Wait, you say you're 17 and yet you know several people who make more than $350K per year? I'm 46 and I don't know anyone making that much besides me.
The point of making money that you can't enjoy is to retire later.
Something that I've noticed amongst all of them is that they all work VERY hard. Think working 60 hours a week is a lot? Psshht, try 90. Do they have money? Yes they do, an enormous amount. The only people I see who don't work a crap ton and have a lot of money are the older folks who are doctors, dentists, or pharmacists who do it part-time just because it's their hobby.
This is one of the other problems I'm having with folks who talk about making a lot of money being important; you slave away for it. You cannot possibly make a great deal of money without working crazy hours all the time unless you inherited someone's business or got lucky with stocks and bonds or something. But you people talk about retirement. Well when you are old and weak, you cannot enjoy the money like you were once able to when you were younger. That argument of retirement is an ignorant one. Can you imagine a 60 or 70 year old man skydiving? Water skiing? Snowboarding? Trekking through the Grand Canyon? Going to clubs and picking up hot women? If you can, you are having extreme delusions of grandeur. I myself figured out when I can retire and it should be somewhere between 49 and 53 years of age. I got 51 years old but give or take a few years considering I went up, so I should be set by then. But I am definitely not gonna go out on the streets or dancing in nightclubs trying to pick up women at that age. No way. I cannot see myself doing any of those crazy fun things at that age.
You guys talk about how important money is, but you fail to realize that it isn't the money that is important, it's what you are supposed to be doing with it that is. And if you just accumulate a massive amount of wealth and don't spend any of it, what is the point of having it then? You are literally working twice as hard to live the same exact type of lifestyle someone else is living.
