Rollo and MANY others make a living promoting common sense. None of what they promote is new. I will have to defend him for not knowing the 'latest' terms created in the manosphere.

I agree with Rollo that the jack@ss with blue hair is a douche nozzle, he sounds like a chick.

We keep making new names for old concepts. I'm 57 years old, some of the stuff being generated by young guys really isn't anything new... it is old concepts that are just repackage into new terms and ways to communicate so that they can then claim they have a new system for you to purchase.

Who and what is a HVM changes from woman to women... a woman who is motivated by money, will gravitate towards a man with money, or the potential to make money. A multi-millionaire, who is short and balding will beat out the 6'2" stud, who looks like a male underwear model who claims to be an artist with this chick. A woman who already has money... well she will gravitate towards the fvck boys. This is what Rollo was trying to say (poorly I agree). These dudes poked at Rollo, and Rollo lost emotional self-control... which is a male strength characteristic... but these guys were debating him like a bunch of hens.

These dudes on the podcast spent all their time busting on his list.... It's just a fvcking list. They sounded like a buch of fvcking chicks picking on another chick because of her new hair style. People put lists out all the time. Now the Red Pill community is just out there trying to be the king of the idiots... it's typical male hyper-competitiveness. Rollo's problem here was that he was oversimplifying things... there is no one answer fits all for each man.

There is truth in Rollo's list. First the biggest expense you will have in your life is the woman you bring into your life. Having children is expensive as fvck, and it comes with a lifelong commitment. Even when they are grown, then they have children and guess what.. those grandchildren also provides a distraction. Anything that takes away from your purpose is a distraction. You can marry and have a successful life, but you better be fvcking sure that the chick you hitch yourself to is right for you.

Be the best honest version of yourself, to do this you have to take care of your body and your finances. Non-productive habits gets in the way of self-improvement. If you have what a woman wants she will come to you.... then as long as you don't get lazy and too compliant to her wants and needs, you will be fine. Getting women should NEVER be your sole purpose in life.

The problem with PUAs is that all they care about is banging chicks... we all want to bang chicks, but that is putting the cart before the horse. Manosphere bloggers and YouTubers just sit around and b1tch about society and women... like it or not, THAT is the environment we are in, and unless we are willing to all just convert to Islam and live under Sharia, ban the internet, and start shaming women for their societal destructive behavior, we just have to live for ourselves... date as many women as you can... and hope you find one that will fit in your life like a puzzle piece. Which I agree is VERY hard.

I was born in Cuba, and guys like these are all talk just to make noise for attention, they all talk about how socialism is great, but never move to a socialist country.
Exactly. It is horrible to live under.
Only privileged ignorant people that never has experienced this can afford to express that we should have communism, more censorship and all these crazy disgusting control systems.

word have consequences.
Indeed they do. Words are powerful... and things are turning in very terrible way. We're quickly losing our freedom rights and our rights to express ourselves which is very concerning and scary.

Imagine being arrested for just thinking something. This is a real thing now:

Then move to China; get a Chinese citizenship and denounce your US citizenship then and see how it is to be living under communist authoritarian rule and see how much you will like it?

I can promise you you will be begging to come back the west very quickly....

This is very essence of the issue that people are so ignorant to not even fathom how privileged and lucky one are to be born into a free western society that guarantees personal civil rights and freedom of speech which enables each individual to live as a free citizen.
Why would I move to China because I disagree with the founding fathers? Did we not have a civil war due to their failures of acting on slavery and states rights? If our constitution and electoral college system are so amazing then why hasn’t any other foreign country replicated it? The only decent thing the founding fathers did was convince France and Spain to join the revolutionary war on our side.

It’s also funny how you are on the side of free speech, but as soon as I make a light disagreement with the founding fathers, your initial reaction is to move to China and denounce my citizenship?

Doesn't matter. All socialist communist countries sucks to be a citizen of.

Communism has failed for over 150 years and have over 100 million souls murdered so far and counting...
It's a fairytale and proven to be a failed system of rule. It will and can never work. Robin Hood is just a simple thief and communism is just theft of other peoples stuff. And once the leaders run out of stuff to steal they turn to make it even more miserable for the population.

When did I say I was pro communism? I don’t see how disagreeing with a bunch of men from the late 18th century makes me a communist. I am pretty sure the concept of communism didn’t even exist then, but I may be wrong.

You are missing the point. These authoritarian countries have removed all civil rights and the right to free speech and thus are prime example of what happens when these vital citizenship privileges are revoked. That is the road it leads too. This is why civil rights and freedom of speech is something you should value dearly and understand how lucky you are to have it. Once it is gone you will have the same conditions as in these horrible communist countries.

Karl Marx invented the idea of communism around 1848 so yes it was a thing at that time too.

That's a theory, but he says he is happily married.
His explanation has always been that he is so advanced and alpha, he can handle being married.
I guess that's okay if you want to buy that, but I wish he would make clearer then that his message is for beginners.
Does anyone else discuss RP within a marriage? I've only seen "soft dread" in Rollo's books, and it deserves its own book. There's a dozen RP gurus talking about what beginners should do, but I haven't seen others trying to keep desire alive in a LTR or marriage.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

I just don’t see the issue with it right now. There are platforms that cater to certain interests which I respects and sites that do get kicked off(like a certain one that mirrors a weather event) is good riddance in my honest opinion. What is your goal in mind? Sosuave.com have no mods and be a shvt storm between trolls, feminist trolls, and RPs? This Wild Wild West style internet isn’t appealing to anyone but the minority obviously.

For the most part, PUA gurus preach against commitment and monogamy, so that's why you don't see much material about marriage in the community. Full disclosure, I haven't read Rollo's books, I'm only going on when he used to be a regular poster here (and a mod, IIRC). But he did often post excerpts of what would become his books.

Laying in the cut
Look… I greatly appreciate Rollo’s efforts putting confidence and perspective back in men and by extension back in the right frame of mind. I think his work is very thoughtful, provocative and inspiring to a lot of follow on philosophers who felt empowered to go in places that they wanted but couldn’t quite lay the framework but were able to build from his.

With that said, I didn’t read a ton of it. I like the iron rules but I see them as a guide. I also don’t think anyone can have as many musings as he did and expect that to rigidly encompass one’s philosophy in practice. I am more than skeptical of his marrying in spite of his own recommendations. I think he also overstates some of his success, (which is not uncommon by any standard).

All in all, let’s just take a second and thank the guy because we all know we’re all sitting here discussing his thoughts in some way;he may be a bit exposed but I would argue that greater exposed will be those who run from him at first opportunity.

Rollo’s book was definitely an eye opener way back when. Although the first edition was replete with ridiculous typographical and grammatical errors, it was the best of its time and definitely set some standards.

Yes dude definitely doesn’t look like Mr. iSlay(ed), god knows if he ever did. Not the point. There is some actionable stuff in those books.

Shame he has gotten himself involved in the whole online excrement tossing competitions, he should have just remained quiet and done his thing. He could’ve rewarded them with silence, just like we all agree is the best approach pretty much always.

Anyway controversy online drives clicks, which means revenue.

I have no problem with Rollo being married. But he was always telling everyone to spin plates and don't get married, while saying he was happily married. So it was always a bit like do as I say, not as I do.
To be fair he got married before RP and has not said to divorce because of RP. He says he would not get married today

If you want to talk, talk to your friends. If you want a girl to like you, listen to her, ask questions, and act like you are on the edge of your seat.

I think a tome that’s missing from the sphere is “The End Game: Slaying After 45”, there are men doing this, the question is would there be a market for it.

Most men hang up their 6-shooters at some point, and yea getting into an LTR and having kids is where most end up.

Just for ghits and shiggles: how many of you reading this thread are over 45 and spinning plates? I’d posit not many.

Does that mean he would not get married today because of the current culture?
Or is it "If I had to do it all over again, I would not get married"?
Because if it's the latter, why would he claim to be happily married?
If it's the previous, that is certainly understandable. Our society today is a cesspool of wickedness.

My understanding is due to current culture. I might be wrong.

I listened to video of his where he talked about it once when I was on a long drive.
