The PUA community is out of date

For those who don’t know PUA (Pick Up Artist)

The once secret society is not so secret anymore; PUA is frequented all over the media now. I think a big thanks to “The Game” book material for busting most of the cover.

I never been a fan of PUA but for those who are u have to think “if all this media attention is out there, all that exposure to society, how affective is the material now?”
Think about the bold claims like “you want to know the secret that 99% of guys do not know that will put you ahead of the game”, well now that secret is exposed to 99% of, not only guys but anyone who happens to watch the news or any media outlet out there.

I just had to post this up after watching some asian dude trying to spread PUA in china after learning “The Game” in the US (yea it’s gone global), & it’s not like I wanted to watch it, I was just flicking through channels (& not the first time it happened).

So yea, once upon a time 1% of civilization had the secretive skills that would give you access to goddesses, but now your skills are impotent.

Guess that’s why I’m not a fan of PUA, I think the greed of some guys to make a buck has spoiled the fruit.

No matter if it's a secret or not, as I see it becoming a PUA is a very long term process. It's something you have to live, something you'd have to be, you can't learn it in a few days, weeks, months, that would be just acting....

And on the other hand, I'm not fearing the competition of true PUAs, or let's say more men around with real self confidence.
What bothers me more is the number of weak men that don't know how to threat a women, who:

- stalk them like crazy after she talked to them once cause they don't know the difference between love and a boner

- get aggressive cause they've been rejected

- think that sexual open minded women are sluts, *****s or whatever

Men like that should be much more a concern, cause they're ruining the faith women have in men. Once a girl had her first experience with some of these crazy guys she'll think twice to have Sex with someone she just met, she'll think twice to give her number to strangers, etc.

So that's our male "guilt" why it's often so difficult that men and women go along easily, spreading some education about PUA would only have a positive effect IMHO.

The first thing you learn in the community is to stop putting women on a pedestal. So that could be a very positive development affecting market dynamics in the long run.

There was also a PUA type guru on the simpsons last night, and last season Sunny in Philadelphia talked about game concepts. If Neil Strauss didn't blow the cover someone else would have. The topic of male-female relations is just too central and too important for any development to go ignored for any significant length of time.

What's your point? Female game has been around forever, including their own books and magazines. That's everywhere.

But the funny thing is an AFC STILL falls for old tricks of girls playing hard to get, hot/cold and etc... things that were literally taught decades ago yet oh so effective.

And its a good thing that we are not the PUA community.

Fortunately, the PUA methods are useless in long term. If you can't back it up with the Real attitude you won't survive the shyt test storm. But it can help you get laid with party chics & hos. Meanwhile your life is in mess and you just keep acting/pretending like it isn't but the truth will get out once.

So yeah, the PUA is dead but it wasn't exactly alive either. Walking dead sort of thing.

People in here are quite enlightened concerning this stuff and most of know that it is more about the inner struggle and becoming a better man than to copycat PUA gurus.

Pick Up isn't dead - you have LoveSystems and Brad P bootcamps selling out, aslong as they're still teaching ''routines'' and canned material. PU is alive and well.

The "Community" got sold out by it's fathers I.e. Mystery, Style etc
When I first looked for gaming sites, I knew I didn't want PUA sites cause they were too nerdy and technical. I wanted something more natural. I went to some natural forums and found out either their to "fluffy"(soft and afc) or to nerdy and gamey(technical)

I myself was never fond of the PUA gaming although i do find a few of their ideologies useful i.e. peacocking, 3 second opener, social proof etc. But the whole routines gimmick was lame to me and with the chicks I was approaching I knew it wouldn't work (girls who go to Hiphop or Hipster clubs)

PUA routines and crap are to be used as training wheels, anyone whose been in the field for awhile recognizes instantly that a lot of the "theory" (not just with pu but DJ theory as well) isn't always applicable.

Keep in mind, that the more mainstream PU gets....the more afc's have to know about it just to stay at the same level they were. We all know the canned lines/opinion openers are all obsolete. (I hope so, anyway) but the deep parts about being a 'man' were and always will be timeless. Be a real man, be cool, and approach. Thats it. Girls will NEVER catch on to that 'secret.'

More like the PUA community is out to lunch.

So are you saying that it's outdated, or too popular?

I have no problem with the art of seducing women becoming popular. In the end it's not about lines, but about becoming a better person. The PUA routines are just a crutch to lean on when you're starting out. But the real secret is in becoming a more confident, smarter and interesting person. Which is a goal I encourage every guy in the world to try and obtain.

PUA in my opinion isn't a technique or a line but an attitude.

Attitude that you are the king and you set your own rules and not anybody else's in regards to your dating life and LTR's. Attitude of confidence, self respect, and a none needy attitude. Shooting for your own goals first and being a man.

And when you perfect this attitude then this goes on to being a family man, when the wife and kids know that its your way or the highway then you'll have a successful life with your wife and kids.
