I've got a better posture exercise. It's called lifting weights. Squats, deadlifts, cleans, bench presses will all strengthen muscles that will naturally put your body in a better postion. Therefore your posture is automatically better and you don't have to work on posing like Zoolander. But, cool tip none the less.
Bad posture is caused by weak and/or tight muscles, especially in the core area, which I can imagine would be a problem if you're trying to move heavy objects around.

I've heard of guys injuring themselves - sometimes badly enough to have to quit doing squats, DL, etc.- from weightlifting without being in good enough shape for it.

The only way to fix tight muscles is by stretching. Your muscles have to be made stronger, I agree, but I have to think there's a safer way to do it for guys who are so out of shape that they should be glad they can move at all.

Step 1 - Stand against a wall.

Step 2 - Make sure that your heels, butt, shoulders, elbows, and the back of your head are all touching the wall.

Step 3 - Take 3 steps forward while holding this posture.

Step 4 - Hold this posture for 3 seconds.

Step 5 - Walk back to the wall.

Do this exercise at least 15 times a day.

This is the Exercise to improve your posture making you look Dominant, Confident, and Alpha.
Excellent Post, let me add a modified version taught at our national acting school,

At step 3, take ONE step forward but keep neck and head still against wall, so that neck down, your body below the neck is at an angle to floor [your neck might slide down, but only let it a tiny bit]

Step 4: Hold for 3, then take one foot back and stand up straight, really feeling yourself standing tall...!

Try this one too!

i can't say that i've ever met a DJ who was that out of shape, though.
if you're so out of shape that you can't deadlift 45lbs, then there is definitely something wrong with that picture.

i was in really piss poor physical shape when i started weightlifting. aside from a groin pull, i've been injury free thus far, and my posture is improving every week :)
