Step 1 - Stand against a wall.

Step 2 - Make sure that your heels, butt, shoulders, elbows, and the back of your head are all touching the wall.

Step 3 - Take 3 steps forward while holding this posture.

Step 4 - Hold this posture for 3 seconds.

Step 5 - Walk back to the wall.

Do this exercise at least 15 times a day.

It's actually an excercise used by therapists to improve posture in people with a hunch and many other posture problems. Allthough, as always, it has it's variations. Make sure to try and keep the good posture and not just do the "excercise".

Doesn't matter. As long as you do at least 15 each day.

Honestly, if you are starting then why not finishing all in one go? It's only 15.

Good tip!

Another one posted some time ago was imagine that you have an imaginary rope tied around your waste and it is pulling at your center while you're walking - forcing you to assume a more confident posture.

Gots to love these Jedi mind tricks.

I've got a better posture exercise. It's called lifting weights. Squats, deadlifts, cleans, bench presses will all strengthen muscles that will naturally put your body in a better postion. Therefore your posture is automatically better and you don't have to work on posing like Zoolander. But, cool tip none the less.

Wrong.

I see tons of guys who lift, have have muscles rippling out of their bodies.

However, they still don't look dominant. They look incongruent because those muscles are huge but they still have bad posture.

Because they have bad posture (even though they already lift), they look unconfidant.

Therefore, lifting weights does not guarentee you better posture.

This may be a litttle difficult to do. But with the following tip, I am sure that you will be able to pull it off.

TIP: Slightly flex your butt cheeks and cave your abs in.

This is sad because Wing Chun is kind of a joke as a fighting art, but its great for posture & health. Anyway, the stance for WC is very similar to some other descriptions, here.

-Stand with feet shoulder width apart.
-Flex your abs.
-Pretend you're sitting on a stool (flex your butt, may involve bending the knees slightly)

Now walk around like that. Your legs & core are like loaded guns, along with a great center of gravity.

Start working on your back and shoulders, stop sitting at the comp as much, and before you know it, all eyez on you.
