I recently read a story about the decline of nudism. The nudist associations like AANR and Naturalist Society are trying to get more young people to join, because they mostly have aging members (read: ugly hippies).
Predictably, they all declare that it is about feeling free and natural, not about sex. Now, homo sapiens has been wearing clothes for at least 30,000 years, so I don't know about natural. Seems to me a lot like shaving animals to make them feel free.
Nudism looks like a way to get to see naked women, and hope they pay attention to you. I doubt there are many high-quality men joining nudist groups, it looks more like another beta-male trick.
And women stay away. I have read about those who do a little head-counting, and it is easy to see that the vast majority of visitors at nudist beaches are men. How many members of nudist organizations are young, attractive women? I'd be surprised if it was more than 2 percent.
"Oh no!" the nudists proclaim. Especially in the comment section to the story linked to above. "We don't care about who is male or female, we don't care about attraction. It's a lifestyle. Freedom is for everyone!"
Are they being honest? Doing a little research, I found this:
Look at www.aanr.com -- the first picture is of a young woman.
Look at www.naturistsociety.com -- the first picture is small, but it shows a curvy woman holding hands with a man.
Look at www.greece-nudist-beaches.com -- the photograph at the top is of a young woman.
Look at www.truenudists.com -- the top five "most popular nudists" all feature pictures of women.
Look at www.coccozella.com -- at the top is a young woman. Most of the pictures from these resorts are of young women, they must have taken a picture of every young woman that has ever visited.
Look at www.dans-nudism.com -- the gallery is all about young women.
Look at www.nudistavenue.com -- a nudist society showing membership pictures where you can't choose "most popular," so it shows the more common and representative members at the top. Not a pretty sight. But not to worry! They also have a big link to NudistFriends.com on the first page. The NudistFriends.com link shows ... an attractive young woman.
Look at www.lycos.com/info/nudism.html -- the first two pictures are of young women. Go to Page 2 and you also see a picture of young women. All the while reading that "nudism is possibly less sexual than life in general."
And that's my little society research for the week.
