i'm going to begin the first ever miniture don juan crew. this is only for the lads that have the experience to back up their knowledge. this dj fraternity is being created with the purpose of allowing those in the group to coach each other, in order to take their place among the greatest of our trade.

I like the Idea of having your own DJ crew but it should be a real life crew not an internet crew, meaning that all members must be from your town where you live. Why not make a DJ crew with your friends? introduce your friends to this site, talk to them about it, and make your own DJ crew to take over your town!

I like this idea, I could really do with some mature advice on some of my thoughts. Personally though I don't think I've had enough success yet to be a contributing member of such a group, and everyone should be able to pull their weight in such a group.

I just want to accentuate why I think an idea like this is so good. One of the most irritating things about this site is how it is inevitable, inevitable, that most of the people that come here will not take up the knowledge. They will say it is too hard, or they will take criticism of their views and actions personally.

Not only this, but there is also even fewer people that make the transition from AFCdom to a level of confidence in the ideas of the Don Juan whereby they can give informed and correct advice to others.

What does this lead to? As has been said many a time: "The blind leading the blind". What we have is an inefficient method of enabling people to better themselves.

A "crew" idea may solve this. People who are well on their way, who understand, and most of all have field experience can help each other. So the good get better.
If the good get better they can help those people who are showing determination and prommise better, so the willing get better.
If these people get better more "groups" can be formed, for then the intensity of advice and mutual understanding will not be lost. In this way SoSuave.com will be able to distinguish between the frenzied chatter of new members and the mature advice of people who know what they are talking about. This will make for a better website for everyone because people who want to improve will do so, and faster, and those people who are about for two seconds will disappear- faster.

I hope this takes off.

Sounds like a good idea. How well it actually does work in practice remains to be seen; and is reliant on how much effort those who wish to be in it; put back.

Cloud, if you don't think you're at a level where you could really contribute to something like this; then it would still be good if you contacted me on AIM, or PM'ed me for a contact email address so we could still chat about these kind of things.

I'm just interested in having like-minded contacts in the UK; for the purpose of discussing matters which might not be helped by something geared towards a US target and for general chatting about possible weekend sess' etc.

I'd be down if - and only if - this is going to be a truly elite/exclusive thing. If not, then it's just going to be another chat room style of thing or some other general extension of this board.

I'm not directly dissing on newbies, but I've always wanted one of those "Experienced Forums" or "Masters Forums" or something for people who've played this game for a few years now to gather, talk, and uberize their skills.

firstly, let me make this known to everyone. your the ones who know if you have the skills or not. if you don't, you may as well not bother doing this, because those of us who know the game will know whether or not you CAN game. so don't waste my time and don't waste anyone elses

This is for the elite / experienced Dj's only. if you aren't at this level yet, its ok. just stick around, learn what you can from the site and talk to me later about it.

in terms of making the decision, I will let you know in the coming week if you are in or not. if you don't make it, don't sweat it. just keep reading and putting knowledge to action. and make some decent posts for gods sake. this site is going to hell in a handbasket.
