dude, we just discussed this. . . http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=111301

Go to a sports doctor or something.

Or just keep a secret stash of protien like you would do with porn. Keep a thing of protien powder in your locker at school. Don't let them stop you from being the person you want to be.

Nothing wrong with taking protein and drinking protein drinks, if your looking to build up you body mass and muscle mass then just keep doing what you are doing with protein, only problem with protein (mainly for begginers) you bowls are like WTF is this WOW too much protein = stomach ache and a dose of the ****s but in the end that stops and bring on the big boy times. of course you need to make sure you have a balanced diet aswell, but there is no harm in it at all.

I know a sport nutrition major at University of Connecticut and she says that the problem with protein powders is that they don't consists of the whole spectrum of amino acids, so what you end up getting is in such unequal proportions to normal meals that they clog the pores used to transfer proteins into and out of your system. She didn't go into more detail than that, but she was dead sure as she had just been taught it a week prior to discussing it with me.

I still take it, and I've never noticed any health problems.

Same here. In fact my digestive system works sooooo well with breaking up foods when i take protein.

I personaly have had wonderful results taking protein and surely am not going to stop as long as im working out the way i am.

But still the fact that maybe in the long wrong itll eff me up is getting on my nerves.

There are EXTENSIVE studies that show a restricted calorie diet can lead to extremely long life. That means that a normal diet leads to comparatively shorter lifespan. It may have something to do with mitochondrial degredation by the extra processing it does due to a high caloric intake. Look up the I'm Not Dead Yet gene in drosophila, and its homolog in mice. The idea is that eating more of ANYTHING is probably going to cause more rapid degredation of your mitochondria, and therefore probably shorten your lifespan, but which is worse? Is it worse to die at 75 rather than 80 after a lift of health, fitness, and pulling tons of girls with your 8-pack and V and rippling biceps? Or is it better to live out those 5 years as an invalid in an old folks home.

You shouldn't do things to avoid dying, sicne that could happen at any time and it's guaranteed to happen eventually. You should act to improve the quality of your life. That is why I eat as much as I can at every meal, and take a protein supplement daily. I enjoy the food and it improves the quality of my life by helping me gain muscle.

Well MY nutrition professor said that they contain all the essential amino acids. But he said most people don't need it as the American diet already gets plenty of protien.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
