The most beta thing you have ever done

I havent done many beta things in my life but I can remember one time when I was 20, I liked a female friend of mine. I wanted to ask her out so I told her to wait for me after the class was finished. She didnt and went to her next class.

I waited for her three hours outside her building (standing, there was nothing to sit on it) until she finished.
On the right hand I wanted to leave cause I was getting tired but I did not know what time exactly she was suposed to finish (no cellphone at the time) On the left hand I was really excited to ask her out, so I kept there standing at the main door so I wouldn't miss her when she had to leave, focusing all my visual energy on that door...like a sniper.

LMAO...three damn hours...

P.S.

we went on three dates after talking via msn for hours, almost every night, for several months (which is pretty beta too). I was a wuss so I did not kiss her neither touched her eventhough she seemed to like me. Then she lost interest and started to date some other guy HAHAHHAA...lame...

Jesus... I have you guys beat. I was a freshman in college and this hot chick I really wanted bad when out with me took me to her dorm room stripped down to her panties... and I thought I'd be the nice guy and cover her up kissed her on the forehead and left.

Fastest track to the freindzone in the history of dating. We're still friends (30 years later) and we still joke about it. She said, "God... I couldn't give you a brighter green light!"

I had a study date with this hot Dominican chick in college. I'd say most guys would rate her a HB7.5 or an 8. I was living at my aunts house for 6 months while she was out of state. She had already made sex comments to me in the past, but I was 19 and inexperienced and kind of just blew them off. Still hadn't come out of my shell. She comes over and sees the pool in the back yard. She said "oh its private back here, you could swim in that pool naked". Went right over my head. Don't know if she would have been DTF for sure but I should have at least said something along the lines of..."lets go swimming". I still kick myself for that one.

Two lunch dates (yes), lots of talking during which I told her nearly everything etc. Even with the 3rd "date" set for lunchtime again, I didn't see the dozens of red flags and LJBF billboards. Called her voice mail with a super clingy/needy message and got back a looong e-mail with LJBF crap. I fired back a short "thank you and fück you" mail, only to receive a messenger request from her some days later. Foolishly responded to that. And got back "oh, that's spam, all of my contacts received it".

Months after breaking up (this was very recent), I wanted to keep her as a friend and would worry about something bad happening to her, didn't want sex with her but would just check up on her every 2 weeks by text. At one point my friend had killed himself so i picked her to talk to because i was there for her when her cousin died. Before i told her what happened she texted that she was saying goodbye forever because she moved on. At this point i wasnt thinking alpha beta because i actually thought we were friends. I begged her to be my friend lol. Texted, please be my friend, multiple times. She texted back, just leave me alone were done. I give myself a pass because i was literally crying over my friend's death and drunk. But from her point of view I'm sure it was complete beta. I have a feeling her new man was reading this over her shoulder for an ego boost.

Long time ago 19 years old, i wrote a letter after dumping my girlfriend. She told me to write it or we wouldn't talk anymore, told me to show my vulnerable side and spill my feelings for her because i broke her heart. So i did. Big mistake. She copied the letter and passed it around for laughs.

1. She wanted this little white mouse,I travelled 500 miles to bring that mouse.

2. Told my parents about her that I will marry her.

3. In order to just not fight I allowed her to disrespect me.

4. Gave her and her friends a birthday party on her birthday.

5. Cried and Begged her to come back after our 2nd breakup and she came back but gave me CONDITIONS for staying with her which included letting her talk to other guys and PARTY with them

6. She said NO SEX and I said Ok

But after I was done and never begged and cried for her. She CAME BACK and BEGGED ME to get back together and this time I gave CONDITIONS if she wanted to live with me.


Everything went fine after that but lol You can't change a piece of ****.

But what I learnt was that Girls are going to be with you till the time you are doing what they want from you. Once you become ALPHA she will leave you because you now can call her on her BULL****.

Great post. Dignity should be always before sex, because losing dignity will effect you much more in negative way than losing sex.Always protect your dignity this way you protect yourself.

I've done a lot of beta **** in my day, including most recently (like literally 5 minutes before writing this post), writing a 1.5 pg letter of my feelings to my oneitis. I'm really f-cking battling to get over this one and it doesn't help I saw her today and yesterday with her new dude.

I am not planning to send her the letter, I just thought I would feel better if I wrote it on paper since I'm at work and can't just go work out or anything until later. I do feel a little better now I just have to make sure I never send her this thing haha. Maybe I should post it here instead.

There was a girl who was interested in me. She was really attracted, hitting on me, etc., but I didn't really notice her feelings (and the times I did, I was too scared to move forward) and do anything with her for 1.5 years or so in college. When she was getting close to graduation, I tried to escalate (by this time her attracted had waned considerably), and attempted to logically convince her that she should do a long-distance relationship with me *cringe*.

After some time of utter lameness, we actually ended up having some degree of intimacy (no sex, even though I had the chance to - had her literally on the bed - because I was too beta), but she separated & cut all contact from me, prolly cause I was just so AFC. Later on, I was missing her so much and had such a degree of oneitis, that I would often visit her linkedin profile (seriously...Linkedin) and feel nostalgic seeing her picture. She blocked me on Linkedin of all places, because I visited her profile so much >_>

I physically cringe thinking about the lame stuff I did and what I said haha...but the experiences were necessary for growth. I think the same is true for everyone, you tend to get a lot stronger after your emotions are stretched to their limit ('Emotional Immune System' as the RSD camp puts it)
