I thought about putting this in Health and Fitness but lets face it this is definitely a mature man issue.

So my hair has been thinning horribly in recent years and Im fooling no-one.
I have pretty soft features so Ive always looked best with medium length hair which gives me a clean cut pretty boy look which works with some girls. Unfortunately with my hair thinning my hair is all different lengths....the sides and back grow just fine but the top of my head is thinning and receding.

A friend advised me to shave it all off but as I have a cute baby face and ears that stick out I just look ridiculous.

Do you reckon it is best just to keep my hair a medium length and not care if it is obvious that it is thinning rather than trying to disguise it by wearing my hair excessively short?

Also how have you guys come to terms with losing your hair? I was quite vain growing up because of my pretty boy looks and Ive been feeling a bit sad about it.

Its a fact of life for a lot of us. If it bothers you that much there is treatment that does work to some degree although it is expensive.

I have accepted the fact that I will eventually go bald. When that time comes, Ill either shave it off or do my best to bring back the comb over. That hair style never got the respect it deserved :)

As long as you have a good sized, clean skull I would shave it all off. I've been sporting the Destro dome for seven years and have gotten nothing but compliments.

The comb over is a guy who clings to barely nothing. Speaks volumes about his personality.

YOu might want to investigate one of those DH Testos blockers like "Provillus"..Good anecdotal reports re regrowth.

Alternatively choose a different father next time around .

I've been slowly developing male pattern thinning so I've been shaving my head regularly since age 25. I don't have thick facial hair but I find it seems best to balance a bald head with some facial hair, I look like a little kid when I shave both my face and scalp.

As far as women are concerned, it's only been positive. They love "rubbing" the head.

You took that seriously?

This is the second personal attack in as many threads. Whats the problem here? If you have an issue with my posts, put me on ignore.

If you have money, look at hair transplant. Otherwise, I use rogaine foam and propecia (which you have to be prescribed)

I THINK they are both atlest slowing the loss down

If you can't fix it where it looks good, cut it off. All or nothing.

You misunderstand.

I'd need to give a flying fvck about you personally to attack you personally.

I do not. But stupid posts do not need mentioning.

A lot of this depends upon how much this weighs on you psychologically. Simply saying "Shave it and forget it" might work for some people, but it's not a solution for others.

If you look good bald, shave it and forget it.

You can try rogaine and propecia, but the results for me were visible but not satisfactory.

If you are in your 20's and considering a hair transplant you are crazy. You have no idea how much hair you are going to lose and you could be totally screwed by the time you hit 40 if it goes the wrong way.

If you are interested in non-surgical options I am kind of an expert in the field, so PM me and I can point you in the right direction.

Well if you dont care, why the need to even bother in the first place?

You are an idiot. You are upset about a previous disagreement and take it into other threads. How can you be that petty? Did it bother you that much?

Grow up. At 35 years old, flaming people should be something you have little time for. People are going to disagree from time to time. I have nothing against you or anyone on these forums.

By all means, put me on ignore.

I don't know what you're referring to in regards to previous posts. The fact is you don't post with any sufficient insight, in my eyes.

I can't judge who you are as a person but your posts leave somethign to be desired.

Be the best you can be is all we can strive for. If I can help you, great. If not, look the other way.

And, No, I will not put you or anyone else on ignore. It's ignorant. If someone disagrees with me, or I them, then we should step up and handle it as men do.

Best to you brother.

Yet you yourself have repped me in the past. If you found no value in my posts why would you have done that in the first place? Unless of course it does not suit your argument here and now.

Lets cut the **** here. You have a problem with me based on some disagreement we must have had previously and the result of that has been a grudge that you hold. You have come at me in 3 different posts for no reason whatsoever. Not attacking my views, ATTACKING ME. There is no reason to do that unless you felt threatened for some reason. Why you would feel that way I simply dont know.

Either that, or maybe I said something that you took offence to? Maybe I said something in a manner which you did not approve? I expect this petty childishness from the regulars in the DJ Forum or maybe the high school forum.

Regardless, instead of acting like a child and launching into me throughout various threads why not act like a man and move on? Or if you have a personal problem with me PM instead?

Even better yet, instead of getting personal, why not question the views that I have in the first place? You let your own emotions overcome you here for some reason and your approach to the whole issue (whatever your issue may be) has been irrational. Dont move the goal posts now.

Im doing my best to be diplomatic here, although I am on the verge of telling you to simply go **** yourself for being an over emotional windbag.

EDIT: AHHHHH, I found out why you have been acting like a child. I was right. We have knocked heads recently. You started slinging mud with snotty remarks and personal accusations which I ignored! HAHAHAHAHA. No wonder you are pissed

Let it go bro. Sometimes its OK to disagree. I have a different cultural outlook not being American. No need to take offense to it, I dont mean any. The sun will come up tomorrow. Leave the petty grudges and emotional over reactions to the women please.

I will agree with you on one thing; it's good to disagree. I don't see where I have involved any emotion whatsoever in regards to any of your posts.

Don't mistake passion for emotion. I'm passionate that guys get the most correct information they can from us. If you fvck up and make a silly post in earnest I'll say so.

If I do, say so.

Your "proof" is idiocy and makes my point succinctly. I've learned to disassociate my emotional self from my online persona.

I truly don't understand why you seek my approval so bluntly? I'm just a guy who wants to help guys get to their best place. Sometimes I'm a kick in the balls, sometimes I'm a puppy dog. I'm certain your heart is in the right place you just need to learn to go about it as if you're your own man.

I repped you before because I thought what you said was insightful. Do it again and I'll do it again.
