Law of Attraction - More science bits
With regard to whether the Law of Attraction 'exists or not' - Most people who approach this intelligently will observe that there is a phenomenon happening here worth investigating.
Some people seem to consistently attract circumstances, luck, good fortune, and these tend to be optimistic, positive and almost naïve people. On the other hand some people are consitently accident prone or unfortunate and this is refected in their language and thoughts ("Bad things always happen to me etc").
So this raises the question: Are they thinking this way because of their circumstances or, are their circumstances that way because of their thinking?
Weirdly, It would appear the both statements are true. People can get caught in a spiral of thought-->circumstances-->more of the same thoughts-->more of the same circumstances, and also you can take a person who is accident prone or victims of circumstance and change their outcomes consistently if they can manage to get a shift in their thinking (NLP practitioners can provide many case studies regarding their patients being 'cured' of their circumstances)
We could even argue that the Law of Attraction is always at work, as it is directly connected to our thinking, whether we believe in it or accept it or not.
A scientific explaination is far from a requirement for the people who manage to produce consistent results by using the Law of Attraction. However, Im genuinely curious about what is actually happening here.
Can we sit in our underwear and affect circumstances normally outside of our control, it would appear so... here is another video explaining how group medititation reduced crime in Washington.
Its fairly heavy going however worth taking the time to sit through it if you find the topic interesting.
