It's not the Internet. It the laws of the country that enable women to act without punishment or retribution. In Iran they have better Internet than New York City, yet men are still Kings and women are second class citizens.

Why would a woman treat a man with any sort of respect when she has NO FEAR of retribution? The courts, the laws, public opinion, and social conditioning has made women feel they can NO wrong. Until the laws change, it will only get worse.
A lot of men don't do anything to earn respect. Respect isn't given it is earned. With women or anyone else in life.

I don't agree with this statement.
Internet is not the problem, used correctly it's a fantastic invention with endless opportunities for mankind.
Social media is the true problem, not only for dating as we know it, but on a deeper more substantial level it's ultimately a threat to democracy, leads to polarisation, young girls with destructive body-images, increased depression and suicide, just to name a few.
Remove social media from internet and you've a web filled with useful information instead of a monster whose business model is based on pure manipulation.
You may argue that internet changed everything and if that's good or bad, but it's unrealistic to believe that it was unavoidable in our evolution as species. Social media is another story.
Was thinking of making a thread about this.

I was just talking to my Dad last night about this.
I said "what would life be like again with the net and cell phones"
In some ways better in a lot of ways worse. I mean would you really want to have to take your kid to the library and sit for 2 hours doing nothing while he did research for his class paper in the reference section because those books can't be checked out? I mean I guess you could have read but still...

Facebook is antisocial media. When MySpace was around, I was pulling like there was no tomorrow. My only pickup line was do you like to smoke weed”.

The elusive obvious that most people don’t understand about social media these days is that it’s really anti social.

Myspace was about social expansion. You added people you didnt know In order to increase your social network.

Facebook is antisocial. You only add people you already know real life. People think it’s creepy if you try to add them in an effort to expand your social circles.

Myspace was for checking what talent was out there.

Facebook is for snooping on your closed circle of friends.

One is expansive and inclusive. The other is exclusive And closed off.

This is why I avoid certain bars and clubs that are exclusive. The people there fall into the frame of the environment and act completely anti social. They will look at you weird for trying to socialize with them.

And of course Facebook was created by the human embodiment of anti social behavior - Mark zuckerberg.

The key is to stay away from exclusive, non expansive, and anti social environmentss.

Seek the open platforms where people expand their social networks. You can find this in real life such as fitness centers/niche clubs, or even online.
Funny story speaking about Facebook...for some reason on my Twitter feed a while back when I actually used it I saw a tweet from one of the Winklevos brothers...anyone who saw the facebook movie knows who I am talking about.

I tweeted at him and asked if he was really as big a d1ck in real life as he was portrayed in the movie...not surprisingly I got no response hahaha

It can be. If a person doesn't know better they can be susceptible to bad advice. They can also be led astray by people that are in a similar or worse position but pass off as "experts".

Males = p0rn
Females = validation

That's what each gender wants. And the internet provides both, in spades

That is why your ancestors never had a problem. Dating forums and boot camps lol. Seriously?

The Internet changed everything
The survival of the fittest.

In a changing social environment, it pays to get on top of things rather than complaining about it.

My social media accounts have helped me land like a new woman a month since years.

Use whatever you have, start whenever you can to do whatever you want.

What are your suggestions for management of social media accounts for someone who wants to do better? What's important? What should we not do?

I play music for fun.

My public instagram music account has a couple of thousand followers and I have 0 following.

This does 5 things:

- flex
- avoid wasting time scrolling
- focus on my craft
- use a public feedback mechanism
- help find gigs as a side hustle and free beer

I suggest find a niche you're good at finance, music, arts, coding whatever.

Find a suitable platform for it.

Publish content that is useful and link all your social media accounts to it.

Most of the girls I hook up w have hobbies which I admire as that is an important qualifying criteria.

YMMV.

So your Instagram is centered around your hobbies? What about Facebook?

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

I link my posts on instagram to my facebook fan page. Divert traffic to instagram.

Not so much on personal facebook as that has some old official company/govt folks/family.

I've rarely used tinder/dating apps.

I believe our focus should be on a niche we love and in using social media to publish useful content that helps people.

If you get to flex/sleep w women as a side product, that's great but that's not the aim.

Actually the problem is that men and women want different things, not that the internet gives it to them.

Note, a BC, you learn game the way a unnatural learned and therefore, you can do the work. Women do nothing but thot. Women are adaptive. Men are playing catch up.

Oddly though, I never post pics with other women. I know preselection and all that, but my social media is just me and my craft.

The only time I'll allow a girl on it w me, is if she's jamming w me.

Agreed and for both reasons. My initial reaction was to downplay the porn angle, but it is preventing us from adjusting to the new normal.
I used to downplay it too. But giving a man his wildest desires at the click of a finger will have its consequences

P0rn has existed for centuries. But it was harder to obtain and didn't completely "satisfy" the imagination, before the internet

This is surely a problem

Porn is a huge problem. It is bad. Every man who wants a healthy sex life should avoid it. Men turn to porn due to issues they have in getting actual sex. Porn then compounds those problems.

Female validation has gotten worse with the internet. Women get way more validation today than they got 30 years ago. Also, they can generate way more interest now than ever with swipe apps and social media. If a woman is on 2 dating apps, plus her Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram DMs, she can easily field 100+ sexual inquiries at one time without even leaving her home. That didn't happen as recently as 30 years ago. That's going to change how she perceives her own worth. In 1990, if a woman wanted to generate interest, she had to leave her own home and go to bars, or develop a social life through her interests and get hit on at various events. She could only generate a fraction of the interest of her 2010s/2020 equivalent. The 1990 woman might field 5-10 inquiries at a time, whereas the 2010s/2020 woman is fielding 100-150 at a time.
