The hardest part 3 second rule

So I'm at this practically deserted bar and a group of 4 girls are right next to me at the bar. The one closest to me is getting drinks and I took too long to initiate conversation.

Trying to think of something to say and worrying about it. Past 3 seconds, 30.. a minute nothing..

Agreed you should not worry about the 3 second rule dude, hell I dont think about it and I always pass the 3 second rule but I still initiate maybe next time instead of thinking about what to talk about just first say hi and introduce yourself and go from there. Good luck,.

Exactly. Don't sweat it, man. Forget about it and move on to the next set.

The more practice you get just being comfortable in those situations, the more natural it will be to just spout out with something random that will open them.

Like I was at the bar the other night waiting on 3 drinks (for myself and my friends outside), and this HB8 walks up next to me to order something from the bar. As I try to gather all 3 drinks up in my hands, I just look over at her and say, "I really wish I had a third arm right about now." She looks at me and laughs. Bam! She's opened. It took no thought at all. Just a light-hearted comment about what was going on in the moment.

I can't remember how many times I have done this, have a good excuse and a chance to talk to a chick and I keep trying to think of something to say or already have something to say and just argue with my self to open my mouth.
