Helping people.

I helped a friend of mine through severe emotional trauma she'd experienced, helped my dad day to day when he struggled with cancer, mentored tons of young guys into being the best men they can be.

Can I get the 3" extension and tennis ball sized head?

Lol jk...

My proudest achievement.. hmm.

I wasn't as proud about my stint deployed to the desert as I thought I would be, I may be more critical of myself than I should but I am looking forward to what my proudest moments should be. Not that I haven't experienced moments of pride and great satisfaction, it's just that so far I haven't done a whole lot to sit back and think, 'hell yeah...'

as KX said, helping people would also give me the most personal satisfaction. It's actually a pretty selfish thing to do, given that it is often done for the emotional satisfaction that one gains from it. Like some subconscious plea for self validation. But its a good thing!

My life is currently centered around that stage of growth. Intellectually through school, emotionally - both within myself and interpersonal relationships, and physically through training.

awesome thread. hella smart people here

Mine is grinding to get my ass off the street. I was living out of my car in 03 making $9/hr. By 04 I had a tech job making 70k/yr and no longer had to eat from the Jack in a Crack dollar menu

dude, that's awesome. I've had a similar scenario. I got fired back in early '06 (at-will state) on a technicality (real issue is I got mixed up with a co-worker - sex with one, fight with another). I was a target! and they found a way to fire my azz - small company - What can you do??? Right now they're going under HAHA! The joke's on them! Their firing me was the Best thing that ever happened to me. After being fired, I drove 300 miles to a place I'd never been before made some contacts, got some names and phone numbers, and numerous opportunities started developing for me. My Faith in humanity restored and People Care, YOU just have to Take Action and GO! Decide to Do something about it, no time for crying! Anyhow, I got a job there with a Great company doing what I know how to do. I couldn't afford living there and they wouldn't transfer me so I Had to quit. Back 300 miles from where I come from a friend decided to take me into live with him - a total selfless brother. Before that though, I slept in my car a couple of times too! I ended up paying him rent of $400/mo, and moved out to get my own place within 5 months having landed a new temporary job! Now, after 1.5 Years of sporadic jobs, I'm Permanent! with the best company in my industry to work for!

SO, I can relate, dude, I slept outta my car too, at one time. It didn't bother me though, because I've always believed in myself and others.

Other then getting my degree and pilots license(which was a culmination of effort), I would say climbing Denali/Mt McKinley with my dad when I was 21. That was physically the most difficult thing I had ever done, and standing on the summit of the highest mountain in North America felt like quite an achievement. I did get altitude sickness on the last part of the climb and puked on the summit. Not quite as appealing as a chocolate bar that Sir Edmund Hilary left on the summit of Everest but I left my mark:)

Very inspirational/original post

My most proud moment was:
1.) going to an elitist summer school in 2005
2.) going to the National Leadership Meeting for the FCCLA and winning gold medals at the state and national level.
3.) Getting into college.
4.) Learning what I DON'T want in a relationship

Current Plans: Touring the United States From PA to OR to CA for charity.

NOTICE: Every major thing that I accomplished was based after my mind was warped sosuavian theorem.
