The fat question

I've noticed that women often ask if I think that they are fat. I can't figure out why women ask questions like these or what type of response I should give.

Out of all the women who've asked me I didn't think any of them were fat and I said that. Should I have handled things differently?

Its a self esteem booster. Women are conscious about their weight. All their damn magazines are filled with these skinny supermodels they know they will never be and it makes them feel fat.

And yes you are answering the question correctly.

If he does that he'll next every woman in existence. I have yet to meet a woman who hasn't asked if she's fat. Its like some secret universal constant.

The day we make alien contact I am sure one of the first questions asked by the female of the alien species is "Am I fat?"

Really? Current girlfriend has NEVER asked me if I think she's fat or not. She has mentioned her weight once or twice (in over two years) but only 'I should probably exercise a bit more' which she then went and did.

There are girls out there that don't ask this, whether or not there's more who ask the fat question in America (I'm in Australia) I don't know...

I'd give an honest answer. Because I'm nice like that.

But - protip: don't be too blunt about it. And if they're saying that they want to lose weight, but you don't see any need, say something like: "I think you're quite fine as you are, but if you want to tone up then sure, I'll be behind you".

I was asked by my female friend once, and I told her she was fat(She is 5'0 180 lbs).


She liked my honesty and agreed she needed to lose weight.

I typically respond with, "Oh hell yeah!"

If she's got a sense of humor, she'll laugh. If not, she will usually cry and/or hit me with something. Either way, she has proven whether or not she is worth my time.

No.

Then yes you're fat.


She was not amused.
