Imagine taking this literally. Which the whole world did. If it were literal then Abraham would not have had concubines and several other patriarcs.
God cammanded to not divorce physically but then divorced Isreal.

Sex was created to enjoy. Its the rules and the morality that has killed it.
So called dishonesty.
So God not creat an alpha wolf? An alpha bull? An alpha buck?

Alphas and other behaviors in animals has little to do with morality in humans IMO. Animals act more purely on instinct, humans have intellect. When it comes to humans, just because you have an urge doesn't mean you should act on it. That's where self discipline and morality comes in. People with poor diets give in to their cravings, so they end up fat. Easier to lay in bed instead of getting up and going to the gym. A lot of players who bang everything that moves end up with multiple out of wedlock children to support.

I'm not saying God demands monogamy. But the Biblical patriarchs who had concubines had the wealth to care for them and any offspring. They were responsible.

The God of Abraham does not turn the other way and does not try to be last so as to be first. He does and takes whatever he likes and supports men who do the same as long as they defer to him. Kings reported to God, alpha kings.
