Oh yeah and all of the Blade movies starring Wesley Snipes are awesome too in my opinion.

The character he plays is confidence overload not just personified lol.

For DJs to watch and LEARN!

- Alfie (sp)
- Any James Bond movies
- 40 year old virgin
- Hitch
- Weddin crashers

For you and your girl

Any scary movie, make sure you watch this first and then watch a comedy afterwards. I picked the best of old and new and recommend these for the weak stomached (Not really scary) Signs, Sean of the Dead, The Shining, 28 days later, The Haunting, Donnie Darko (Bit weird), The others, Carrie, The Exorcist, Scream I, Salem's Lot (Wicked Long), Tales from the Crypt, The Devil's Backbone and The Omen.
For guys with b*lls Dawn of the Dead, Texas Chain Saw (Old version 1000 times better), The Birds, The Blairwitch Project, Nightmare on Elms Street, Original Japanese Films (Original Ring or Ringu is F*CKING SCARY)

Jesus people, they're just movies. Do you really expect to learn anything from a scripted and idealized plot? Do you actually expect people to react to stupid lines and behavior the same way in real life? Get off your asses, get out in the world and try things if you want to learn things....

One thing you can learn from movies is attitude. You might not take the content itself and make use of it, but the attitude embodied of being cool, calm, relaxed and charming can go a long way and seeing good examples of it are what some of these movies mentioned are all about.

I also find swingers to be a classic DJ's movie. If you want to see some tough dudes, check out Tombstone. Great movie.

Women love Tony Montana. Because he has balls and he always speaks his mind.

Heh... though Top Gun is clearly the gayest film ever made. Come on... "Playin' With the Boys"?

A little known indie film that speaks volumes about the methods (and potential pitfalls) of DJ'ing is called Rodger Dodger. This too-smart New York guy gets a visit from his teenage cousin and takes him out to learn about picking up women. Not only very well done but fairly balanced in its opinion on the whole thing.

Here's another few:

1) Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I love how it's just assumed that Ferris has smoking hot Mia Sara wrapped around his little finger. There's no explanation for how this little, kind of cute guy has the hottest girl in town... you just have to assume it's because Bueller does what he wants, when he wants. He's an alpha, no question.

2) Out of Sight. Clooney is the sh*t in this film. He macks like nothing else, and even though he's a convicted felon he snags a Federal Marshall (Jenny Lopez, no less) pretty much just by being his goofy self. The scene in the trunk is classic.

3) Cool Hand Luke. No girls in this film... but like Ferris Bueller, you know he could have any one he wanted. Luke is witty, funny, and a man's man. Plus, he can eat fifty eggs in an hour.

Most films have underlying AFC messages.

Wedding Crashers gets hailed as a great DJ film but think about it. The characters were totally AFC, chasing women, pretending to be something they're not, getting played by women, falling in love after hours of meeting someone and more.

Of course the movie depicts these guys as cool guys getting laid by loads of scorching hot women but in REALITY guys like this would be total losers.

This is what you have to think about in movies. The way hollywood portrays the characters is not how they would be in reality. Even Fight Club.....a guy who fights as much as Durden and lives the way he does is going to be ugly and deformed, smell like crap and probably hooked on drugs. He is a total loser, yet with the bias of Hollywood and the help of Brad Pitt, gets to look like the ultimate cool guy.

Don't look to movies or fiction for help being a DJ!

Even the guys on the "Don Juan" site are FALLING IN LOVE with "Leonardo DiCaprio" the PRETTY BOY FAIRY, at least you could have picked a movie with a REAL MAN like "Harrison Ford" "Mel Gibson" or "Brad Pitt" but #### DiCaprio #### what an INSULT, :nono:

I agree with the person that listed the "Aviator" with DiCaprio.

The whole premise of the movie was that this young guy was able to assume all of these different jobs, roles, and personas because of his great verbal skills.

Great verbal skills is the essence of mackin and DJism so this guy's abilities to charm the ladies isn't surprising at all.

Probably the most unlikely but easily one of the most motivating and best DJ films I have ever seen is Rocky V.

I've seen all the Rocky films, but the fifth one is just awesome.

It's where Rocky Balboa retires and he trains a young thug off the street. The young thug starts winning and getting power, and he later turns against his mentor.

It's a great film and the themes in the film are priceless.

It speaks of fear and conquering fear.

It speaks of persistence, dominance, and perseverance.

Its speaks of the difference between arrogance and confidence, and how arrogance can lead to the fall of man.

It speaks of the difference between the old lion with experience and the young lion with vigor.

It teaches you how to stand up for yourself when others push you around.

It also teaches some themes on how to be a good father, and what makes a bad father.

It also talks about how money can corrupt those with greed and with lack of self control.

Great film.
Very inspiring albeit a bit simple.

I agree with all these points. The production quality of Rocky V was dreadful, but the plot was easily the best since the original Rocky.

For me Rocky 1 was better though because it showed the greatness we can all achieve with the right determination and heart and if we push ourselves to our limits.

Rocky was just a bum, a nobody being set up for an exhibition, but he exerted himself to his limits and exceeded all expectations. This is what we should all be striving for if we want to achieve greatness.
