As humans, we are designed to do two things: survive and reproduce. The despair brought on by lack of success with females may often bring about two options in your typical, mentally-degraded AFC. In one case, he crumbles into psychological and social isolation, becomes depressed, and possibly commits suicide. The other option is to cut losses from one's moral integrity and risk social stigma, and coerce the female into sex.
The latter option is clearly better because, from an evolutionary perspective, it results in both a high probability of carrying on one's genes, and, by way of still being alive, survives. Suicide, however, results in the end of survival and zero possibility of carrying on one's genes.
Having suffered suicidal depression, social isolation, and lack of success with females first hand, this may not be such be a bad idea, rationally-speaking. Maybe, just MAYBE, I'll take a calculated risk instead of wallowing in self-pity, and resort to the latter aforementioned strategy. It is the logical thing to do.
